New course in Lippold/Crystal Lake?

I was playing at my home course in Crystal Lake, Lippold Park, and I was talking with another player from the area, who said that the CLPD is going to put up another course at Lippold to add tothe 18-holer they already have.  This is the second time I've heard this little bit of information, so it's ceased to be a fluke, and now I'm really curious.  

Has anyone else heard of this?

I've talked to the Crystal Lake Park District. There is a possibility of adding another 18 hole course at another park in town but not Lippold. They have yet to pass a vote that I know of.

Innnnnteresting...

I've lived in C.L. basically my whole life, give or take a few hundred road trips and colleges.  The one place I can think of which would have the land to spare is Veteran's Acres Park.  It's on Walkup avenue, north of Rt. 176.  The potentially exciting thing about this is the elevation changes that there may be in this course- V.A. is VERY hilly and woody.  But...it's all tentative though.

Of course, if players around here don't take care of their course at Lippold, they probably won't do it anyway.  Any Crystal Lake players care to help some weekend soon to de-garbage the course?

From what I was told, this is fairly new acquired land. There are 3 proposals written & 2 of them included disc golf. We'll see what happens.

Moog_playa  do you know about the leagues that they have on Monday nights?  Fred use to clean up the course on Mondays, but since he broke his wrist I don't know who will pick up his slack.  

VA has the problem of course traffic, so many people use that park that is would be worse than Lippold during soccer season.

I usually play Mondays after teaching, so this would be perfect!
