JUNIOR LEAGUE

For disc golfers from ages 7 to 17

Saturdays at 10am - Bevier Park

All kids and teens welcome!

This will be a 10-week league consisting of 11 holes each week, focusing on game basics, skill-building, good sportsmanship, and friendly competition.



Since the WPD Disc Golf Workshop seems to be a dud, I think it is appropriate to combine some of the workshop goals and teaching plans to this league when appropriate. If an older, more competitive crowd shows up to Junior Leagues, then we'll focus on competition and play more holes.



I'm planning that at least one other club member shows up each week to help with this, so that more kids can receive some individualized attention.



Cost is $1 per week, and all money goes to end-of-league prizes.  Kids can use club's used discs or buy new ones at cost.



Please get your kids out - get your neighbor's kids out - get all the kids you know - out to Bevier on Saturdays!  The children are the future - OF DISC GOLF!

Steve et al - Yes, Classes and Workshops are one and the same. I ask that you show up on Tuesday if you can, just in case we get some folks. We'll take their $ and give it to the WPD (then get our % later). If nobody shows, we have the next 3 weeks off.

We are 2 weeks into Junior League and the action is hot! But we need more Juniors! Please bring your child, or your neighbors kids, and help promote the future of disc golf! We all have fun and usually learn something too. Kinda like Fat Albert!

I should be able to help with Jr. League this Saturday. More depending on travel/tournament plans. I may even bring a Jr player with if I can get him out of bed so early on a Saturday.



Jim, are you still looking for used discs? I have some (a bag full) if you are.

Does this mean there won't be that class on Tuesday nights for Disc Golf?  I wasn't sure if the WPD Disc Golf Workshop was the same thing.  If it is the same thing and it was scrapped, please let me know.
