In real life this looks reddish-orange and yellow.  Sometimes yellow scans grey and then turns white when I brighten it.

I downloaded that bat and photoshopped it to get a good outline.  I could do the bat in solid black and then do a "red sky at night" kind of effect in the background, similar to the poster.  It would not be the same but similar.

This is my first attempt at dying a disc after doing some tests. I wasn't going to do anything like Dr. Dye but then Bruce inspired me by suggesting I do an american flag as if the flag were circular, whatever my interpretation of that may be. So here it is. This will probably be the only disc I ever dye in a Dr Dye like way. I have some ideas to take the dying in a different direction. We'll see if I can actually do it.

1.5 years later...I finally came up with a dye additive that would do what I want to do. I call it Jelly Dye. It's not really a different direction, just the process that I wanted to do. Here is my first test with this dye process.

Anyway, I have some plans to add more colors and do some other designs, but I'm fairly pleased with this test.

172 Pro Starfire

Nice dye! I saw the movie on Sunday with Becky and Maddisen. I thought it was pretty good. Very dark and the bat mobile rocks!

I did $1 dye jobs on 17 discs this afternoon, new dyed stuff for Rockford.  I bought an old record player at a garage sale so I was spinning the discs on that at 33 and 45 rpm.  I showed the ladies running the garage sale what I was going to do with it and they wanted to know if I also painted saws!  I told them that I was entirely pro-painted saws but I only do frisbees.  

I'm going to do a couple more batfires this weekend and a batcrush, maybe some cubbie stuff, and a few orc bears if I have any orange orcs.

I won't have any Orc-bears.  I will have two Orc-orcs.  This is the Orc-orc.  Now that he is done, I think the artwork needs some more work.  Someone will like it.

My bad.  I had a Monster cleaned off and waiting to be dyed.  I thought about doing a Cubs logo on it and then thought, "Who would want a Cubs Monster?"  If you still want one, I'll try to do it for the August event.

Almost all my dyed stuff sold at Rockford.  Maybe I should jack up my prices.  I was really disappointed with the way a lot of it turned out at the time, but then when I had it out in the sunlight today it looked a lot better.  I don't like the Orc-orcs though.  Next time I'll have Orc-bears and more Cubs and Sox stuff.  I'll do some Jerrys and some Libertys and if Yoda sold, some Yodas.  And the cheap spin stuff.
