QuotePlayers packs do seem kinda pointless with the brass cash system.  I like the way players packs are set up at other tournaments, where you get a T-Shirt, or a tournament-stamped disc or something like that.  The IOS players packs make it seem like I'm paying 10 bucks to play in your event, on the condition that I have to spend 15 up-front at your merch table.  I have enough discs that I would rather just have some kind of memento of the event, than get more plastic.  If the current (brass) players pack is going to stay, which I'm assuming it is, I would definitely be interested in forfeiting it for a chance at a higher payout.

I guess the ironic thing is that the higher payouts are in brass, which I just said I dont need more of.  I guess its time to go pro.   More likely, I'll start selling off discs.
I don't understand this. You'd rather someone just give you a tournament stamped disc for your player pack (or a PDGA sticker and a mini as one tournament did this year) instead of being able to pick out your player pack? You can still pick out the tournament stamped disc if you want one. This way you can decide what kind of disc you get!

Also, the PDGA requires a player pack be given out at B tier and higher events. Although we give you $15 in brass, we only take $10 out of the prize pool for that pack. Since Bruce and I aren't really big fans of player packs we wanted to make sure that as many people as possible would be able to get $10 of value from the player pack that we offered. Last year we tried to make it a $10 rebate in cash but the PDGA did not like that and made me stop.
But arent the tournament-stamped discs usually priced higher than the players packs?  I dont remember, but I know it was $16 for some of the champion plastic.  I guess I just like getting something from a tournament that you cant get somewhere else.  You guys did make some great random product additions to the merch table a few times this summer.

The regular hot stamp tournament discs are regular prices. The color max discs are the ones that are $16.

What I'd like to do for 2006 are regular hot stamps with each leg having its own design but all of them together would be a variation on a theme.

I would like to say "You're Welcome!" to everyone who has said thank you.  No one ever thanks me for toiling anonymously in the courthouse basement to ensure justice under the laws to all litigants who appear before my judge.  It is nice to be thanked for the lesser good that I do in life, helping Jon run fun tournaments!

On the player pack thing, we do have custom tournament stamped IOSeries discs at every event for people who like that kind of player pack.  Because Discraft gives us great deals on tournament stamping, the tournament stamped stuff is always in the Discraft boxes.  And you can get a Discraft Z disc and a mini for a "$10 value" player pack at every one of our B-tier events, which I don't think you could say for five other events off the top of your head.

If you missed out on the IOS discs because you never looked in the Discraft boxes, I'll have some IOS Buzzzes, Avengers, Soft Magnets, Crystal Challengers and Soft Challengers at Widdershins.
