Was looking at the tee times for the Memorial next weekend for ams cuz there was a couple guys I know playing.  I saw Mills was talking about how he was gonna be there but didn't see his name?  Then I looked at the pro tee times, HA!  He is paired with Barry Schulltz in the last tee time of the day!  How nervous is that kid gonna be?  My hands would be shaking.  I wonder if he'll be telling Barry about all the incredible shots he could throw if he wanted.

I will give Mills a 1:1,000,000,000,000  chance of coming out on top the 1st round.

I'll put up a penny and take the other end of those odds.

considering how he shot in Vegas last weekend.  I would say he'll be teeing off at the ass crack of dawn the rest of the tournament.

We all wish we could be there...
the PDGA thread on this is great....last few pages are the ones to read.
' ass crack in Scottsdale/Fountain Hills might be better than the Frozen Tundra in P1.

If Michler could only get everyone on the planet to take the penny end of this bet, he could buy Abbott.  And put baskets on the lawn.

actually wouldn't that only get me like 60 million bucks?  prolly not enuf to become the primary shareholder for abbott, but i have much better uses for that money involving disc golf.  and a plasma screen tv!  and i'd get a better cable package.  thats about it.

Wow, I had no idea Abbott Labs was so big.  60,000 employees.  $66 billion market capitalization.  $22 billion annual sales.  Looking great on your projected earnings.  Yeah, 60 million is chump change if you're trying to take over the corporation.

When is my penny at risk, right now or tomorrow?

Right now!

Waterford's highest rated player is in the club house with an anemic 960 something rated round, 20 points below his rating.  Mills and Barry don't have scores up yet and probably won't have scores up for three more hours.

Go Mills!  Papa needs a new pair of shoes!  Or private islands on this bet!

Terry Miller shot a pretty good round, but there are still a lot of big guns still out on the course.

Dan Michler

Sorry everybody who took that bet.

Mills shot a 990 round which is great!  However, that ain't gittin it done.  was 11 shots back of Barry.

pay up!

Ha!  I was waiting for that.  I'm going to give Dan a check for $10,000,000,000 and ask for change.

After 8 rounds this year Barry has 2 wins & looking like he'll have his 3rd if he keeps up his 1063 golf. Wow!!

After 6 holes Barry has a 4 shot lead, he is relentless. The other players are so talented, it has to be frustrating when you play so well and can't keep up with him.  Having a chance to see the live scoring is great.

only 4 of barry's rounds since december have been rated under 1050, apparently hes gotten much better recently wow O0

The new rating system is inflating rounds more than Chuck Kennedy is willing to admit.  Chuck says the unofficial ratings might be as much as 8 points too high, but the new official ratings are calling my lackluster 920 rounds to be 940 rounds and 950 rounds.

If you go through the Memorial ratings it is hard to find players who did not shoot over their rating for the weekend.  Looks like a majority of players shot about 20 ponts over their rating per round.

Here's a good example:  If you compare last year's March Mudder at Temperance with this years Ice Bowl, same course, weather not that much different, just colder for the ice bowl, from both the longs and shorts the ratings are 40 points higher this year.

If you go look at ratings for advanced players nationwide it looks like the PDGA is offering advanced players cash subsidies to not move up!  It looks like we have the biggest batch of baggers in the history of the sport, and that the number of baggers has just skyrocketed from four or five guys waiting for Worlds to 40 or 50 guys.

The new system is generating ratings way too high.

its really just a number to compare you to other players though.  regardless if barry's rounds are 1090 or 990, if its better than everybody else, then it must be pretty good.
