The 20th hole tee was near the grill by the pavillion. The basket was on the other side of the pine trees west of the parking lot.

Fun is the name of the game. I think you'll have a good time & learn a lot of things about disc golf. Watching players that are better than you are the key to getting better.

All holes are par 3. For rec i'd say #19 is a par 4. Can't remember the other hole by the baseball fields but that one is probably par 4 as well for rec.

Is there a registration form for the 2006 IOS? It is coming up quick. I would like to save a little money by sending in a check.

QuoteENTRY FEES

(PLEASE PREREGISTER)

Avoid the wait in line. We averaged 128 players per event last year and expect an increase in 2006 with the subtraction of our lowest drawing event and an addition of Aurora. Our goal is 1000+ players over 7 events which would be over 140 players per event.

If you preregister go the the score board when you get there and check in. You don't have to stand in line. If you are playing in any amateur division make sure to ask for your $15.00 brass cash player pack.

1. Make check out to DISContinuum Disc Golf Club
Send to

Gurnee, IL 60031

Checks must be received the Friday prior to the event.

Preregistration Policy->
If the TD is contacted Friday or before the event weekend, the preregistered players money will be held and can be used at any of the IOS events left in 2006. If they don't show to any of the later events the money will be used in the prize pool at the final event. If the TD is not contacted Friday or before the event weekend the money will be added to the prize pool that weekend.

2. You may also preregister online at -> http://store.discontinuum.org/index.php?cPath=24

3. You can pay Brett Comincioli prior to the event. He is usaually at the course the Friday before each event. You can pay at local leagues or any other time you see Brett on the course.

4.  If you are a Sunday player you can stop by during the event and pay on Saturday.

I'll be getting registration forms into the hands of Brett soon. I'll post one on the brasscash site soon also. If you want to send a check before then, just include your pdga# with your check--that's the important part.

I saw the stuff that you put up at Crystal Lake with the scorecards.  There were only maybe 3 sheets of paper left in there.  But because of the goofy weather they weren't in the greatest of shape.  It might be worthwhile to go back out there and check it out again.

I thought it was a great idea, although the image for download can be tough to see discontinuum.org in the top left corner, need a higher resolution graphic.  I would have used one for playing the round, but since it was one of those rainy type days, the pages weren't really dry, and I left them there.

hmm, I don't remember seeing it at all yesterday, anyone else play and see the sign posted on the right on the first tee?  There were plenty of enough people there to think they needed to have a bright idea and tear it down.  There were also plenty of people there to no be considerate and try to take your head off on their drives when you were trying to walk down the pathway to leave (we left early, too many people).

When I use the scorecard, I print it out on a thicker stock of paper.  That tends to work out a lot better.  I also print 2 to a page (although I should reverse the page and print 4 to a page).  An ideal situation would be to have some "official" type of scorecards printed out advertising the IOS and discontinuum at the same time and make the scorecards pocket sized (eg. UW-Parkside's scorecards)  Who knows if people would treat the scorecards responsibly and not just take them all out of whatever box you might put them in and then just do whatever they wanted to with them.  Maybe this type of idea would work better at a different course entirely.  Lippold needs a locked message board.

The PDGA, Discraft, Innova and and the local park district all want cash, or something a lot more like cash than Brass, when we pay them off.  So we need to collect cash at the beginning of the process.  You ought to try selling your Brass for cash to other disc golfers to see what you can get for it.  From me you can get discs, hats, shirts, towels, birdie bags, the Golo game, an occasional hip flask or screw driver, one time I even had watches!  But a player who wants that stuff might trade you money for your Brass if you made him a deal.

After the Lombard tournament Brass was being valued at 66 cents on the dollar by whoever was running the long drive game.  That was entirely unrelated to the tournament, but they were letting players in for $2 or 3 Brass.  That might be a fair value since you get 15 Brass in the morning for a $10 value player pack.

I just finished and sent in IOS #6 and IOS #7 TD reports which are the last 4 TD reports that I have to do for 2006!  ;D I just felt the need to share.

Thank you for getting all that done.  Speaking of just wanting to share, Emily Dickenson is thinking about playing mixed doubles tomorrow.  Kelsey will sign up as Robert Frost, so no one will object!

I can't find the post about the results from IOS #7 not being posted properly by the PDGA. I received an e-mail from David Gentry today saying that he has discovered the problem and will fix it on his next update which he thinks will be at the end of the week.
