Well then, here's your chance to help
Come out and play on Milwaukee's original disc golf course, Brown Deer Park.
This is the course so many of you have heard about but never saw or played.

The Great Lakes Disc Golf Club is hosting a fundraiser to raise $$$ for a new course.
All funds raised from this event go towards a new disc golf course.  Remember the 2007 PDGA AM/JR WORLDS is in Milwaukee, WI.

When: Saturday April 15 - registration 8-9 am - tee time 9:30 am
Where: Brown Deer Park, Milwaukee, WI. Meet at north end of park by old holes 10-13.
The park road is a circle so you can't get lost, maybe?

Format: 2 rounds of 18.
1st round: Best Shot Doubles random draw A pool / B pool.
2nd round: Best Shot, pick new partner & keep your score from 1st round.
2 trophies for both Pro and Am – subject to change.
Cost : $15

[rant=Brett] Since Brett also is running a plant-a-basket tournament that day, allow me to express Brett's pet peeve for him, so he does not have a conflict of peeves!

Surely a niche sport like cricket pays for its own pitch, or is it only disc golf that cannot get in the parks unless it pays for the equipment?

This is not a knock on what Terry is doing.  I hope Brett's event fills and everyone else goes to Terry's.  It is just frustrating that these park districts literally spend millions of dollars a year but cannot set aside six grand for baskets. 

I went out to Dretzka on a cold grey day in November and it was busy.  Do these people not know what Dretzka is like in the summer?[/rant]
