I'm a Bears fan & it was a great year. They exceeded my expectations. I would have liked to see them run the ball on that 2nd & 1 play rather than throw it.

At least the Packer fans have something to root for. Rooting against the Bears will be the only thing you have to look forward to. Farve & Green are done! I see a trend developing.
2006 8-8 No playoffs
2005 4-12 No playoffs

Thats not much of a trend, considering the Packers greatly improved over 2005, and theres nothing to indicate that they wont be an even better team this year.

That 8-8 is very decieving. The only team the beat with a winning record was Chicago in a meaningless week 17 game. 4 of their wins came against MN & Det. The other 3 came against Ari, Mia, & SF. With an aging team it's going to be the trend.

can't putt

Some thoughts on last night's game:

The Bears were who Denny Green thought they were.

You'd think a professional quarterback who has been paid over 5 million dollars since 2003 could do what most high school qbs have mastered -- hang on to the snap!

I can't believe how many 3rd and longs the Colts converted.

The Bears could run against the Colts.  Especially with Grossman so shaky why did Turner abandon the game plan?  Ego?  With 2nd and 1 Turner calls for two pass plays???  The result -- Grossman stumbles on 2nd down and fumbles the snap on 3rd!  What is Turner thinking?

A lot of the blame for the offense's low time of possession falls on the offense themselves.

Congratulations to the Colts.  They dominated on both sides of the ball.

Both Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith are class acts.

This technically was Rex's first year as a QB he hadnt played the last two years with injuries.

I think he'll mature as a QB and be worth the money.  It is easy for all of you Sunday Night/Monday Night Arm Chair Quarterbacks to disect the game and focus on all the bad things that happened in that game the fact is that elements that were not the norm for a superbowl game were there.

By the way your right that the packers had the easiest schedule - and the Bears had the 2nd easiest, at 8-8 they have plenty of improvements to make.  However, The Bears have no where to go but down.

Have fun on the Downward Spiral :)

if u think the Packers are on their way up, I'd love to hear why!

Do you think your defense showed alot of improvement this year?
Do you think your about to get alot better at the RB or QB positions?
Do you think your #1 WR at 33 years old is about to get alot better?

The Pack has a miserable outlook, and thats the end of that conversation.

The Bears did have a super easy regular season schedule which we dominated..........and guess what we won 2 games in the playoffs against winning teams as well!  We were clearly the best in the NFC and we have youth all over the field, so I don't see a huge letdown coming next year where we can't even beat the vikes/lions/packers.

I disagree with you that the Packers are not going to get better over last season. Their young receiving core has some pretty good depth and with more additions to the defense like AJ Hawk, they could be a top wild card contender. Of course I'm a Lions fan so lots of things look better than they possibly are. :)

So, is that photo doctored or just from some other game? It's not from the super bowl for sure. The only time that the Bears wore dark on dark this year was in their loss to Green Bay. The Bears wore Dark shirts/white pants for the super bowl.

Yea actually that photo did look weird to me. It was from the Green Bay game, I saw it in the paper. Someone must have photoshopped it.

That's the fun of still photography. Something that probably happened for about 1/2 of a second in real time looks like prison sex in still photos.
