Aurora area Thursday summer league

Spring is finally here with disc golf leagues aplenty. To add to your already full calendars, another league: Aurora Area Thursday Singles.
Most of the info is on the flyer, but here is a taste of what you will get to wet your mouths.
I am proud to bring you the second year of the Aurora Area Singles League. The entry is $10 per division, with there being 2 divisions: PRO/ADV and INT/REC.
There will also be an optional $1 ace fund and 2 $2 CTP's each week with a 50% payout on the CTP's. The remainder to go to the end of year shebang and prizes.
Start time will be 6 PM sharp except as noted on the flyer.
Points will be accumulated through both participation as well as performance.

League starts on Thursday the 19th at Jericho Lake in Aurora.

Attendance this week was down due to the weather, only 10 players, which actually turned out to be decent considering the rain we had the past few days. Proving once again that Eagle Ridge plays well even when the conditions are not the best. Long tees were cancelled due to the wet grass. All divisions played the shorts.
Taking first in PRO/ADV was Rob Merkel with a -5. Second was Tim Pannell with a -3.
Continuing his hot shooting, Marcos Esquivel takes first in INT/REC division with a -5.
Ace pool now stands at $110 for next week. Location is Jericho Lake Park in Aurora. Start time is 6 PM with all divisions playing short tees.
$10 entry for PRO/ADV, $5 entry for INT/REC.

Week 4 is in the books. Great weather and no wind made for some decent scores at the short but technical course in St. Charles. Taking 1st in the pro division with a -10 was Rob M., 2nd went to Dan M. eith a -5 and 3rd with a win in the playoff Ryan S. with a -4. The INT division was on by Jesse E who shot a -6 followed by Mike E. with a -5.

Thursday singles will be starting at 5:30 as of next week. Sign up will close at 5:30 so please be prompt. Also we will continue to play at Eagle Ridge until further notice due to the flooding at Jericho Lake.

That sounds pretty good.  I think 4 newbies is better than seeing 10 old faces.  Did they buy any stuff at REI?  That, of course, is what will get them to try it again.
