The KC is a stiff plastic. The JK is a soft plastic. The runs of JK plastic vary. A 3x is softer than a 5x is softer than a 4x (which IMO wasn't very soft).

My wife really likes her 3x (and she won't let me have it. :( ) I have a slightly used 4x that I'd probably sell if someone was interested.
