Hey peoples, doing some fall cleaning & have the following items for sale -

Weber kettle grill, got it as a wedding present 8 years ago. Haven't used since going gas a couple years ago. Many racks of ribs & whole turkeys grilled on this baby....
Comes w/regular & hinged grates for indirect grilling, charcoal rails for indirect grilling, side tool holder, and wooden tray that sits on the side of the grill.
$50/offer

Thule roof rack system. Have bars & aerofeet for cars w/old style rain gutters. Can be adapted to attach to any modern vehicle. Comes with model 725 flat top ski/snowboard carrier. This is the large one for 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards. Locks on aerofeet are keyed alike, same goes for the carrier but it is keyed w/a different lock. Have extra cylinders and keys for all locks as well as blank keys for extracting cylinders.
$90/offer for all

Burton Air 5.1 snowboard, 151cm. Round nose & tail. Got in barter for some computer work, was never ridden by me but I had it sharpened & waxed after I got it. Just looked at the edges & they're in good condition, any rust is surface & I'm sure will get worn off after a couple rides. Comes w/bindings but I recall they're not very good & you'd likely want to replace them. Currently set up for regular.
$30/offer

Unknown maker snowboard, 182cm. This is the board I rode until I moved & had kids. Same as the burton, I had it maxed & sharpened after the last season I used it. Edges are in the same condition as the burton. Has Salomon ratchet style bindings in good condition.
$40/offer

AMF Head Pro skiis 173cm. Haven't touched these in years. No idea on condition but I'm sure the edges on these are the worst between the boards & this. Has Salomon bindings.
$20/offer.

Can deliver anything for pickup at Bevier league or IOS#7.

If the grill isn't gone I would make an offer on that. I live in the city though so that could take some working out on my end!

Holy crap, a 182 board? What are you, 7 feet tall? :) Where do you ride around here that you need a board that long. Heh heh it's also quite a contrast to the 151. Which model is the 151 Burton?

mirth

Taylor - Grill is still here & yours if you want it. I'll be at Rockford this weekend, could bring it then. LMK.

Roman - No, not 7' tall. Had no idea what was the right size board when I got into riding. Used to go to Cascade and Tyrol near Madison when I lived there.
Not sure what model the Burton is... where could I find out?

You actually specified which model it was, but I didn't read. I was all excited about the 182cm snowboard :) That's just so huge.

What shape is the base of the Burton Air? Got any pictures of it so I can find out what year it is? I'll probably take it off your hands I wouldn't mind a board to take around when it's really icy out to save the wear and tear on my board.

Unfortunately I can't make it this weekend, due to everyone wanting to get married on 7/7/7. I guess they didn't know it was a big qualifier weekend when they planned their wedding! I'll get in touch with you next week after I'm back.

Sounds good Taylor. I work in Skokie if that helps us meet up somewhere...

Roman - I live in Grayslake if you want to drop by & check it out. Won't be able to do anything with pictures until after this weekend due to IOS4 & me being the club money/merch man.

No problem, Grayslake isn't far. I'm sure I can make it out there soon maybe we can play a few rounds as well. I haven't been to Bevier in years (not since they added those holes in the woods in the back). Then again, I never even played the Grayslake course.

mirth

Or, if you plan on playing Rockford this weekend LMK & I can bring it there.

I'm probably going up to Shawano, WI this weekend so Rockford is not really on the way :)

roman

Shoot me a PM and let me know how I can get in touch with you so I can drive up and grab the board.

mirth

Roman - wanna come up & play doubles this Sunday?

I'll be in Missouri this weekend and my flight isn't returning until around 10:30am on Sunday. Otherwise I'd love to.

I just bought an "original" Letterman at a garage sale for $10.  It is about four feet by five feet and it is the tropical lagoon in the mist.  This was $250 when new, twenty years ago, and it is in pretty good shape.

Lettermans were mass produced oil paintings produced by a factory in China so they never got a following in the art world.  But since so many have been destroyed [when the dentist moved from downtown to uptown] or were just thrown out [when the life insurance agent got evicted for nonpayment of rent] they are starting to get collector value as memorabilia.

This one is gorgeous.  I bought it for my office.

Got any velvet Elvi?
That's funny.  The lady I bought the Letterman from didn't know what it was.  So when I was explaining it her friend says, "Oh, like a velvet Elvis."  And her other friend said, "Except, some of those velvet Elvises I've heard have collector value."

So it is the same thing.

If your dentist or lawyer had oil paintings in the 70s, and they were soothing, pleasant looking paintings of landscapes, they were probably Lettermans.  I think this one is the same colors as the couch in my office.  I wanted to ask someone but it is a holiday today so most of my colleagues were home observing the holiday or playing hooky because their boss was home observing the holiday.

Getting this thread back on topic, the items listed in the first post are still for sale. Any takers? I'd like to reclaim the garage space...
