I am  leading my annual disc golf ride for the Evanston Bike Club this Saturday.  I posted the following on the club website, www.evanstonbikeclub.org

08/04 Sat 9:00AM    20 S  Disc(Frisbee) Golf Ride~ Dave Barish 
  We will ride to play at a disc golf course on the north shore.  Dave will have his golf bag with a variety of discs. Please bring your disc(s) if you have them.  Dave will provide instruction in the mechanics and tactics of disc golf. We will ride from the Chandler Center, which is a park district building between Central St. and Lincoln St. In Evanston.  It is adjacent to the Central St. "L" stop and right by the Peter Jans Golf Course and Evanston Hospital to the course in Glencoe and then to Fink in Highland Park.  It will be a slowly paced ride so even novice riders should have no problem getting there.  Cross training is good.  Come along for the ride.

I might be in for that.  Sounds fun.  What do you expect you guys will average for speed on the ride? Is it one round of 9 at each course?

I suspect we will average about 10 mph.  It is supposed to be a slow ride.  I figure to play 9 at each course depending on who shows up.  On slow rides we don't leave anybody behind.
