If anyone is ever interested in a game of PIG send me a PM.

One-on-one. Any course. $50. If you miss your last shot you get a second final shot.

Can you explain this game a bit? I don't know what PIG is.

Just like PIG in basketball, but with discs.

The first person shoots from wherever, and however he wants. If he makes it, the opponent has to make it from that spot. If he misses, the opponent then gets to do the same (shoot from wherever he wants).

The player shooting, can call a specific shot...like "around the back," or "turbo putt," or "using your opposite hand." But you have to call it before you set up to shoot.

If you miss your first shot, you get a "P." If you miss your second shot, you have "PI." If you miss 2 attempts at your last shot you get "PIG." Game over. First person to PIG, loses.

$50 skins!? Too rich for my blood. That's a $900 payout if we play even up, and carry it to the 18th hole! (And that's keeping it at single raises, not doubling.)

Actually, some members of our club (Fox Valley Metro) were taking about seeing if the Renegades (or any players you want to get together from the Lombard area) were up for a club challenge, sometime after we see if we can get a challenge going against Streamwood.

And we were thinking about playing for cash this time. Everyone puts in 10 or 20 dollars. The club that the wins, takes home all the money. It'll be after IOS #5, so if you want to mention it at leagues and see if anyone is interested.

Later.

I'll bring that up at Streamwood leagues next Tuesday as well. Or better yet, 'cmon out.

Yeah, all 3 sounds good. I sent Eric with Disc Golf Alley a message last week, about them joining in too. But I know a few of the guys in Disc Golf Alley are in the Streamwood group. So however that ends up working out.

I like the idea of still playing for the money, but if we have several groups (instead of just 2), some people might not want to play (just because of the money involved with the competition). So, we can kill it, if it's going to discourage people from playing. Or we can make it a small buy-in...$5 or $10. But we can iron that out after we see if there is interest from everyone.

And there is another new club...in Shorewood. Not the old Joliet Flyers, but another group of guys. They already talked about doing a club challenge against us. You guys are welcome to that one too. Hopefully, it will be for cash...if we can get enough guys to put in a reasonable amount to make it a large pot ($40 or $50 a player, is pretty standard, I think. Poker buy-ins start at $60. At least that's what Ray {Esquivel} puts in when he plays every month.)

So if we just get 6 guys from each club to put in $50, that will be $300. If we get 3 clubs, that's $900. Winner takes all. But I'll get more information on that, and let you know.

Actually I don't think anybody from Disc Golf Alley right now is in the Streamwood group.  We just know some of the guys and some of those guys know us.  So that actually works out pretty well.  There are a bunch of Disc Golf Alley guys in Discontinuum, but the majority of them joined Disc Golf Alley club first and would probably stick with that side of the group for a club challenge.

If Eric hasn't gotten back to you let me know, I'm the club VP and can get things rolling a bit from our side if necessary.

Thanks, Scott. I'll send you a message about the club challenge in a week or so. Should be a good time. Again, if we want to eliminate the money for that one, so we get more players involved, that's the way to go.

But also, I talked to our guys tonight. We have our 6 who are in for the other challenge at $50 a player. I have no problem making that the club challenge, but as someone mentioned tonight, that probably should be a separate competition.

So, if any other clubs are interested in our $300 vs. your $300, send me a message. Hopefully we can get 3 clubs, for a total payout of $900. Second place gets zero. Winner takes all.
