The 9th annual Capital City Challenge will be October 6, 2007.  The players package is being finalized within the next week.

Hope to see you there!

A few of us from up here have played the CCC the past 2 years. Lincoln is a very good course and is easily in my Top 10 of Illinois courses played. I heard some of the pin positions have made this course really tough. It's a fun day & hopefully quite a few northern IL guys make the trip. The $50 microtel deal is great. The Microtel is 65 miles to PJ Irvin Park in Bloomington. It's easy driving and should take 1hr 15 mins on a Sunday morning.

Elevation is the buzz word when reviewing  the new layout.

Had a good time at this tournament last year.  Got my first and only tournament win in INT...  But the payout was absolute garbage.  5 Odyssey discs!!!  LOL :thefinger:

Probably wont be going down for that one.

Mike,

If you do decide to come down, and we truly hope you do, play Advanced or better yet PRO... better payouts and the same good time.

Hey Mike, which of your six choices of Star disc did you pick out last year for your players pack to go along with your First Run Skeeter, Heavyweight multi-color T-shirt and your lunch which by any Tournament Director's math was worth more than the entry fee for the amateur grouping...

As for the players packs... this year there will be a Star or Champ Disc and a DX Custom Hot-Stamped Roc  will be added if you pre-register... We will also be including wick-a-way tee-shirts and lunch...

As for prizes we have accumulated Innova Bags, Traveler Targets,  Mach Lites and other goodies...   Innova really delivered as the Title Sponsor for this event and DGA has stepped up as a sponsor to our season...

Ace-Hunt Bounties are on the line and Club-Stamped SuperSoft Wizards available for the taking...

And just like last year... each card will be playing for their own CTP...  Last year it was Medium Wizards... this year to-be-determined... So that's a 25% chance at a CTP per foursome...

Bagger, haha right.  At the time of the tournament last year I was rated a whopping 895 and had been up and down all year.  I only won by a stroke.  I havent played INT since, because Ive been consistently playing above that level since the end of last year.  If I wanted to, my rating would still allow it (barely).

And you are right, the players pack was outstanding.  The lunch was good, and the courses were a ton of fun to play.  I enjoyed myself enough that I joined your club just to give some extra cash support, and took the lowest tag you had made (so that I wouldnt be skipping town with a good one).

But... I also won a B-Tier event and took away a handful of garbage beginner discs that I'll never throw (2 of which were defective), and nothing to show that I won.  I understand that most of the cash went into the player's packs.  I just dont prefer that in a tournament.  If I want 2 discs and a t-shirt, I'll buy them here and save myself a 4 hour drive.

Well if you are looking for two discs and a shirt I would recommend Jeremy Rusco of DynamicDiscs... who happens to be a CTP Sponsor for the CCC this year... ;)

And if the discs were defective please contact D. Mac. of Gateway as that was a prize that had a $69.95 Retail Value generously donated by him personally – as well as the 10 Proto-type Infernos that were given away in the free Long Distance Drive Contest held at last year's event.

Those discs today still retail for 17.99 for the UltraLong and 12.99 for the others...

And the Bagger comment was obviously joking around...  come on down and defend your title...  I can promise you that there will be no Quest discs in the winner's prize package this year.
