I'm looking forward to making the blooper reel! Missed a couple 10 footers; one bad one in the doubles round.
Everyday I hope to find it in the mailbox also.

They (DGTV) told me and the PDGA that these went out last week.  I have told everyone to contact me if they don't see them in their mailbox by this Friday.  It's good to hear that some people have already received and viewed them.  I honestly don't know if they dropped all 550 in the mail on the same day or not.  I'm guessing not.

I've done everything I can to get DGTV to get these out in a more timely fashion but it's been in their hands since day one.  I hope they show up in mail today!

Got it on Friday.

In all honesty, a little less than expected.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the hard work that the guys at DGTV do but I was just expecting a little more.

No separate doubles footage, no awards ceremony, no final nine of anyone other than the Advanced Men.

I'll still watch it over and over  ;D

I hear ya surge.  There was a lot of stuff I was looking to see, like the women's finals and just a little more of the atmosphere of the week.  If i hear a music box or that music for the putting segment again it will be too soon.  pick a song that last's more then a minute or else change songs.  It got really annoying watching 15-20 minutes with the SAME MUSIC REPEATING EVERY MINUTE!!! If it were better music I wouldn't mind but it was a freaking lullaby.  I definitely expected  a lot more from DGTV but I was very grateful to get the DVD and thought it was a good idea.  I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer if it meant more content and better looking video.  I think they just tried to throw it together because so many people were wanting it quickly.

Hey there guys,

I am glad they are showing up.  I'm sorry to hear that they are disappointing to anyone.  It will write this and it might sound defensive but it's not meant that way so I'll keep it brief and just shed a little light on the subject.

This was the first EVER Am Worlds DVD production.

Typically, the PDGA budgets for about $30,000 to shoot, edit, produce, and sell the Pro Worlds DVDs.  The Am Worlds budget was not even 1/6th of that (and it wasn't funded by the PDGA).

As most of you know, PRO WORLDS DVDs are produced each year with the sole intention of selling them, we provided them for free as part of your player's packs.

Originally we did agree on a 45 to 60 minute DVD.  I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to give us nearly 90 minutes.

That's really all I have to add.  I don't think it rivals the quality of something you'd buy from Sony pictures but I still think it was cool, unique, and a great keepsake for everyone to have for years to come.  Originally we thought about selling it but I'm glad we went with the decision to just put it in every competitor's hands as part of the player's pack.

I will strongly encourage you to send your feedback directly to the guys at DGTV.  I didn't play any role in the 'creative direction' with this so I'm sure they would like to hear feedback from all of you.  I think they did well with the 2 or 3 or so guys they have along with the limited budget but I'm sure they'd love to know what you liked and didn't like.

Thanks and happy holidays.

I didn't mean to put down DGTV at all. They've done a great job in bringing golfing events from around the nation to anyone's home by means of their website. The CLASH dvd's are sure to be great.

I will still watch it over and over. I was just expecting a little more.

Thank you to Terry and DGTV for giving this to all the participants. It was fun to relive some of the memories of the week. It was especially nice to win that basket again  ;D

If any local guys want to watch it give me a call...you bring the pizza!

Hey Serg,

I didn't really think of your comments as a 'rip' on the DGTV or Am Worlds.  I know you were just giving some feedback and I strongly encourage it.  As I've already posted - I would strongly encourage anyone that has any type of feedback (good or bad) to send it right to the guys at DGTV.

It was a learning experience for them as much as Am Worlds was for me and the rest of WI!

Whoop Whoop.

Is that the segment with all the missed putts? If so, I imagine the intent was to be ironic with the music.

Less effective than that Marshall Street segment with all the woodchopping and the girl singing 'Lord Don't Look at Me...' Now that's hysterical.
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was angry with the finished product.  I really enjoyed it, I too will be watching it over and over.  The only parts I was in it I was sitting down, which was probably the best part of my game all week.  I was just excited to see what they would come up with after watching all the clips they have on DGTV.  The music they use for shot of the day is outstanding! I'll most likely be watching it again before the Bears game tonight.
