Just a weird topic I thought I'd post & see what happened

Personally I've walked out of Nicholas Cage's "Bringing Out the Dead" and Mortal Kombat 2 or "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation"

Hmm..... I'll have to ask the wife about that one. I know we did once...

Does walking out of one film because another you'd more rather see is about to start?
Don't forget your towel!

Nah, I'm more talking if the movie is so bad for one reason or another that you've left, with or without trying to get your $ back. The reason doesn't have to be listed, unless it was something unreal.

The 1st time I tried to see The Aviator at the AMC Yorktown for example, we sat almost all the way in the back. The projectionist was listening to old school Boys 2 Men so loud we could hear it whenever the movie had a quieter moment, so we went & got our $ back. Never have gone to that theater again.

for whatever reason people do seem to be rather rude at Yorktowns theater, i went to Shutter there last night and people were talking rather loudly during the movie and on there phones to...

That's why I hate to go to the theatre and pay 10 bucks for the privilege.
Last movie I walked out for that reason was 'Let's Go To Prison'. Totally awful.

I've been sticking to the Tivoli in Downers Grove, but I'm biased because I'm 2 blocks from there. But for $3.50 you can't go wrong. Ogden 6 in Naperville is also good & just as cheap.

Yeah, we used to go to the Tivoli a lot, last time 8 or 9 years ago, when it was still only $1.75 (mental image of old curmudgeon playing world's smallest violin...)

Do they still have the organist playing before the show, on that big pipe organ rising out of the pit?

Mukey

Yup, organ is still going on before shows. Brings back memories of when I was a kid going there
