Crappy about the online, but at least it's free......

That's pretty sweet that your wife supports your gaming addiction! I played a bit at a friend's last night, really like it. Definetly buying it this Friday!

The demand for online console gaming is rising exponentially while the ability for game companies to meet demand is rising on a straight line. The console gaming industry just doesn't seem to get it.

But anyway I bought this one for SP and if MP every works then bonus. I heard that Rockstar has their servers back up today and it is working again. As always, it was not a PSN problem but a problem on the game developer/distributor side.

Getting rid of Oblivion (I don't play it) for $20 & COD4 for $35 if anyone's interested

Don't buy RSV2. The MP is completely broken on the PS3. Ubi is "working on it". Not holding my breath.
RSV2 is really good on the 360 >:D

Done with GTA 4, took a bit longer than San Andreas, but San Andreas came out in December & there was no disc golf to interfere with video game playing

Does anybody have an extra Playstation controller that works for Playstation 2 that they can give away?

Just checked ebay, and you can get them new for under $10 (shipped) if no one here is willing to donate to ya.

i have a 360 and dont want to go back to a sony. partly based on the fact that my ps2 broke down about 5 times.  the 360 is incredible especially if you have a hdtv. Halo is a great game but is primarily an online game. either way gaming systems are now becoming so life like you probly cant go wrong with either one. MAKE SURE YOU SPEND THE EXTRA DOE FOR THE WARRANTY

Yeah, I'd have a prob with them if my PS2 broke down, but the original Sku# one I had is still running strong, as far as I know. Mirth's kids have been rocking it out

ihatecheeseheads

I used to play my ps2 about 30 hours a week and sometimes more.  sony used to have the edge just based on their game titles.  that has all changed now with microsoft.  GTA and other big titles are available for the 360.  if your going to spend that much money you have to get xbox live.    At almost anytime when i log on to play halo 3 there is usually a minimum of 300,000 gamers just playing halo.

duain

i have both systems, i would rather play the games on the 360 cause they seem to have better graphics and they look more indepth, but the upscaler on the ps3 is definetly worth it for watching regular dvds if you have a HD tv. did you know if you have movies on your computer you can burn 4 or 5 on one data dvd and both the ps3 and xbox 360 will play them. i agree xbox live is worth it you can even get final fantasy 11 for xbox 360 to play live.

The only time I play my 360 anymore is for guitar hero or RSV2. Since I've picked up a Wii a couple months ago, that gets a lot more play time. Although it is summer time, which means my gaming is probably limited to about 3 hours a week.

mario kart for the wii is tight even my wife likes to play it

If you have movies on your computer and a PS3, don't bother with burning a disc, just stream it to the PS3!

Yep, Mukey's PS2 lives on.
Don't forget your towel!

duain

you could stream them, but if you were to make backup of the movies you can put them on data dvd (to add more movies per space on disc) and still be able to play them on your systems. if you have the VUZE program on your computer you can download anything (movies, games, programs, etc) and link them to the ps3 via wireless network.

Yeah, mine definetly has high hours on it, but still strong according to Mirth. I jammed San Andreas out on that thing in 17 days, just as an example

I agree completely! Once I beat GTA 4 I really haven't played that much at all. Nothing really exciting (at least to me) is coming out until Mercenaries 2 and Bionic Commando:Rearmed

Mukey

Bionic Commando: Rearmed came out yesterday for PSN & XLA (I'm pretty sure)

The game is great, it brings back the old 8-bit platform goodness with updated graphics, weapons, & 2-player co-op

Well worth $10

Jon Brakel

I plunked down a $5 pre-order to get in on the open beta for SOCOM: Confrontation. Looking forward to this and hoping that they don't screw it up.

Don't buy Dead Space, not matter how hyped you may be or fan of the genre. I rented it & beat it in 3 days. Looks nice, but is easy

Mega-Man 9 on the PSN is well worth $10
