Jason & I again played 72 holes of golf today. We were just outside of Peoria but did not get a chance to play Bradley. Morton was a very sweet course!! About every type of shot imaginable was on this course. New Discatcher Baskets with inner chains. (Didn't help my putting but they are nice). Dirt tee pads but well groomed with wood chips. There were A B & C tees. 3 holes 300+ & 3 400+. The final 2 holes are beautiful. # 17 looks straight out of the woods with an awesome backdrop of woods (pretty wide open shot to air it out thoug). From the B tees the basket is 400+ sitting on a slanted hill. #18 was 660 feet & you throw from the top of a peak about 100 feet in the air. You can bomb some monster drives from there. This course is worth the trip.

Morton #18. Tee is on top of 75 foot ravine with a window through the trees. The basket is 660 feet away to the right on the side of a steep hill. Best finishing hole I have played.

Morton #17. This is another sweet hole. The fairway is lined by thick woods. It is fairly open from the B Tee (where this picture was taken from) but the gap gets a lot tighter from the A tee which sits back in the woods. The baskets sits on the side of a fairly steep hill. One of my putts rolled straight down hill 50 feet. The A Tee is 528 Ft & the B Tee is 432 Ft. Another great hole.

Morton #5. This is the 1st half of this hole. It is 420 feet through the woods & by far the toughest hole I have ever played. Taking a 4 is great. I bow to anyone who shoots a 3 on this hole. You start off by throwing about 200 feet to the landing as seen in this picture. If you hit one of the initial groups of trees your disc falls 20 feet into a ravine to the left and right of the path. If you manage to get to the landing you face another tough shot ahead. To be continued!

Morton #5 continued. Once on the landing you can throw through a small opening that is pictured (If you position your first shot close enough). Don't let this picture fool you. It is about a 50 foot drop and a striaght downhill shot. Did I forget to mention there is a stream that runs to the front & left of the basket. To the right of this picture is a path that runs down to the basket. There is no great line to throw to the basket. Man this is a tough hole with great elevation.

Morton #8. This is an alley shot. The A Tee is 402 Ft. & the B Tee is 309. What a sweet shot through the woods. As you can see from all the pics they load the ground with wood chips. This is a very well kept course. Once they add cement tee pads it would probably be my favorite over Dretzka.

You guys have to play this course. It is sweet. These pictures only scratch the surface. Hole #1 starts you off with another elevation/blind shot in the woods. The rest of the course is just as good.  Pictures provided by Joe Comincioli AKA "DAD"

Great course!  This course is definitely worth the trip down to Morton.  It had every shot imaginable.  About half the holes were through the forrest.  However, each hole had a line to the basket.  The other half were out in a grove of trees.  Hyzer and anti-hyzers were needed out here as each hole seemed to be something different.  #18 was the best finishing hole I've seen yet on a disc golf course.  The tee pad on a bluff overlooking the creek provided for some monster drive to the basket 660 ft away.  The best thing is that this course is out in the middle of nowhere.  It looks like it gets quite a bit of play, but the park wasn't overcrowded with other people like I've seen some parks.
