Yes, Insert/Media is correct but your Flash file has some problems...



First off, you made the link to the Flash file relative to the location of template. When the template gets used in the site the requesting web browser makes a request looking for the .fla in the root of the website. If the link were relative to the root of the website then the .fla would show up.



The other problem is that while many people have the flash plugin for their browsers, few people have the full Flash authoring program. Your file needs to be saved into the published format with the extension of .swf

Also, you may want to figure out how to save some space on it... The .fla weighs in at a hefty 3.5MB, this will take almost 20 minutes to download on a 56K modem!  :o



I think the file is a good start but definately isn't ready for publishing yet. In the future, check with Jay and I before adding anything to the template. Its already pretty big.. Maybe a spot on index.html & index2 would be better?

Mirth & Jay, I updated a few things tonight on the General Template and Index2.

Now that I've checked, the Flash piece I added to the template isn't working. It is a Dr. Dye ad placed just below the BagTag Flash, but now just appears as a small white box.

In DW, I should place it using "Insert/Media", correct?
