Final Standings are below for the 2008 Illinois winter Series

Thanks to all who attended the events that made this series a success. Next year will be better as we will be planning it a little more ahead of time (not like 3 weeks before the Ice Bowl.) We are also looking at adding another event in December over at Olympia Fields as well. Stay tuned for more info.

Congratulations to all the winners of this year's series.
Trophies will be sent to 1st thru 3rd place in the following divisions:
OPEN
ADVANCED
INTERMEDIATE
RECREATIONAL
NOVICE

1st place trophies will also be sent out to:
OPEN MASTER
AM MASTERS (compiled of ADV MST and ADV GMST)

Any and all ties will be broken by the following factors:

1) # of events played.
if still tied,
2) highest best finish.
if still tied,
3) highest strength of victory (amount over/under par)
if still tied,
then those still tied will both receive trophy for that place/ finish.

Aaron, if I"m interpreting everything including the tie breakers correctly I think I'm getting the Am Master's trophy.  If that's the case, I'm grateful, but please do not feel obligated to prepare a trophy for the winner of a single tournament in a micro division who had no intention of ever competing for series points.  Obviously I'm only speaking for myself.  Thanks.

I don't think there's an official series - but there will be the Abominable Snowman on 2/7 (Jason please correct me if I'm wrong on that date), and the Jericho Ice Bowl on 2/21.  Both are on Saturdays.

It is a good call, definitely. I've made a weekend out of Cracked Plastic for a few years now though, so I'm not sure I want to break that tradition with friends. Stranger things have happened though! Either way, let's all rest easy on the fact that Matt Travis is going down.
