QuoteAnybody that has played a Kamm event recently knows they are not exactly in touch with the game these days (i.e. at kirkland they clarified the PDGA OB rule which according to Mike is 'if your disc is touching any part of OB, your lie is considered OB')

I believe that I cleared that one up for them B)

Rather than causing more problems, it is apparent some of the membership should be working on ways to repair the damage done with Lombard and to Disc Golf in general in the Greater Chicago area.  If you're not fixing the problem, you're PART OF IT.

Please, refrain from name-calling and other derogatory statements about people. Allow Brett and his group to think this through and resolve the issues in a professional manner as THEY see best. Don't try to micro-manage this.

If you can't, please don't post. It does not help Disc Golf.

Grab a disc and go play. Its beautiful weather today.

can't putt

Ok, let me get this straight.  If I'm not fixing the problem I'm part of it, but if I am working towards resolution, and I'm not Brett, then I'm micromanaging?  ???

Jumbles, if you have to post anonymously then its a little hard to put alot of credence into what you say.  All I know for sure is you are someone who is frightened to have people know your point of view.  I don't feel like your post, which instructs us to refrain from namecalling, and then places blame on people for being 'part of the problem'  is either professional or 'good for Disc Golf'.  And the whole thing about 'Brett and his group' and micromanaging doesn't even make any sense.

I really don't like responding to anonymous posts either, but in addition to the other points made, it also occurs to me that the reference to 'the damage done with Lombard and to Disc Golf in general in the Greater Chicago area' implies that 'some of the membership' was driving the bus on this,  rather than being the ones hit by it. Blaming the victim and all that.

I think the IOS series is the best thing to happen in the Greater Chicago area since I've started playing.

Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

airspuds

i think the disc golf players have/had oozed
good karma with their patiance with the pavillion users
the last couple years - we saw disc s disappear on the long hole ==---

ruled where we all last saw where the disc landed
then the guy parks the base of the hole for the 4
great but he was hot after his disc was "  opah 'ed"
the music soothed his nerves for the next couple of holes
---

imho
most disc golfers will pick up trash as they are playing
during T;s most disc golfers will not damage the course
most T players will have at least played the course at
least once prior to the T and picked up while they  played because
they will be playing the T the next weeken/ soon

The IOS brings a benefit for any course that a T is played.

there is no gambling  with disc golf T;s - it is what it is  -
its like bowling split the pot and brackets pools
it is what it is - you volunteer your cash verse reward
-   i call it donating verses getting plastic

i am sure bruce did not and has not camped at lombard
it just seems/ appears the crew was there the whole time as they got there
before any one else and left last both days

time will heal all wounds

lets plan on playing here in 2010 then

ah spuds. I've missed your prose.

This might be his all time best. For both rhythm and content!
