Bought some John Prine tickets for Saturdays show at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan. Was wondering if any one has seen any shows there before, and can give a review on how nice the Theatre is?

The Genesee is pretty awesome for an old theatre. 23 Mil was poured into the renovation. You will not be disappointed.

What a jewel!  The people in Waukegan were very welcoming. Great venue to see any type of show. Easy to get to and easy parking. Not the best part of town but the Green Town Pub about 3 blocks away was pretty good.  The Theatre reminded me of the Uptown Theatre in Chicago back in the 70's, very nice.  John Prine was excellent!  Highly recommended!
