After going over the schedule again and again, I finally got a schedule that everyone should be happy with. I hope. The only possible conflict will be Parkside's PDGA-sanctioned with the Widdershins Open in June.  Joe Weinshel and Ed Wallen published other dates for the Parkside event, so we'll have to wait and see.

The attachment is a Word document. Let me know if you need it in PDF form.

PLEASE let me know of anything that needs to be changed; we will vote on final approval at the Dec. 8th club meeting.

MAJOR conflict, every second sunday of every month - Safari series at 1PM. Conflicts with leagues, as league doesn't typically finish until about that time. Also, on weeks when it's in Madison people essentially would have to skip playing in league all together in order to make the safari event. Many of the top finishing spots in league have had a slim spread between them, and missing one or two (or up to 4 for summer league... start and end day even!) can have a huge impact on your final standings.
Don't forget your towel!

Known dates of local 2003 PDGA and other non-DISContinuum events thus far:

Jan 18 & 19 - Ice Bowl Milwaukee

May 3 & 4 - Michiana Open (now an A Tier), South Bend, IN

June 7 & 8 - Greater Peoria Open, Peoria

July 4-6 - Mad City Open, Madison

July 11-13 - Minnesota Majestic, Minneapolis

July 18th-20th - KC Wide Open, Kansas City

August 23 & 24 - Runbletown Classic, Milwaukee

August 30 & 31 - Northwoods Open, Lac Du Flambeau, WI

That's all that's published in DGWN so far.....

Sorry... typo.  The Safari Series are on SATURDAYS at 1pm.  New document is attached.

Singles, two divisions: Upper & Lower.

Discs should be here by next Tuesday.

How's Craig doing? Can you get me his phone # so I can give him a ring?

jim

Talked with Sun King (via email).  He is interested in sponsoring the Safari Series because it gets him the most advertising for his buck.  Cool....

I've written up what the Safari Series can look like.  Two divisions, Upper and Lower.  Prizes for each.  I did some numbers, using 10 players average at each event.  If we open it up to non-members (charge members $7 and non-members $10), we could garner much more income, and open up the fun factor.  We'd have to communicate often and early with other clubs and course pros. No problem.  Let me know what you think.

UW-Parkside will host one of the tournament dates on the 2003 Wisconsin Summer Tour (tentatively set for May 31-June 1, 2003)
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.

Is the safari handicaped or just singles with 2 divisions?  Do you think I can get the discs that I won from this summers Safari anytime soon?  Either 165 KC Eagles or 165 TL's would be cool.
