As much as I'd love to make this meeting, I cannot guarantee it. In fact, its more likely I won't be there. Sorry guys.
Don't forget your towel!

mirth

Anywhere between 3 and 4 is good for moi.

Thanks, Brett!  What did Keith or Jeff say?

jim

BIG THANKS to Brett and Jon for making the meeting. I couldn't attend because of a few personal and urgent matters, and I really wish I could've been there. Sounds like you guys did a bang-up job!

What is the projected tier of the PDGA event? C Tier? C-X Tier?

Do we want to add an extra dollar to the entry fees for reimbursement of any money spent on the course improvements?

The limestone teepads will be great, even if the RLPD doesn't want to install new tee signs. If the old ones (small blocks) are repainted and reset in the limestone or teebox frame, I'll bet they'll work fine. Plus, we can put temp markers down like we do at HPC.

I'm stoked about this! THANKS AGAIN!

Call me & tell me which way you are planning on coming. There are quite a few ways to get there. It is on Rte 134. That is the next light north of the course. You hang a right on 134 to Cedar Lake Rd. (Clark Station on Corner), Take a right on Cedar Lake, & it's on the right hand side.

OK, here is the low down.

1. Tee Pads- The park district is going to supply limestone for tee pads. They are going to dig out the tee pads & pour the limestone. Using existing blocks, they will put the # & distance of each hole in the front corners of the tee pad imbedded in the limestone.

2. Basket #3 will go in the ground in the spring.

3. Wood chips will be spread around all baskets & on holes that are consistenly muddy.

4. Mowing patterns will be changed to add rough to some holes.

5. PDGA sanctioned event-] I have to write a letter to the park district. Jeff basically said he would sign the ok. August 2nd looks good since nothing is going on. We will be able to park in the grass. There will be a park ranger to help park cars. Jon is going to get the paper work in ASAP. They said they have a tent that they would let us use.

Get ready to volunteer a few hours here & there. We need to start setting a few dates so the park district can plan to get material ready to go.

Jon, did I miss anything?

Jon is correct. We will be doing most of the work. The park district is going to dig the holes for the tee pads but we'll have to fill them with limestone. They are also going to place piles of wood chips & we'll have to spread them.

I finished the proposal letter to the park district to host a tournament on August 2nd. I will be dropping it off today.

I also modified the course map. There will only be MINOR alterations to the course.

#1 teepad will be moved about 10-15 feet to the west. (moved to accomadate any parking)

#3 teepad will be moved about 20 feet to the south. (moved to get away from the fence line)

#4 teepad will be move about 15-20 feet to the west. (moved away from #3 basket for safety reasons)

I'm going to propose that holes #1,2,3,4,5, & 11 have fairway lined rough. The park loved this since it will cut down on the amount of mowing they would have to do. Mowing starts mid April.

I also added dimensions for teepads. On the long open holes i'm pushing for 6X12. The short holes will only need 4X8 & a few of the wooded hole will probably be narrow.

Well the new semester here at school starts on the 10th so I will be working 2pm-10pm at that time. So I would prefer the earlier the better, that way a have a chance of being there. So basically I would prefer 2:00 even earlier if possible, after 2:00 though I prolly wouldn't be able to make it.
