They are putting in stair steps going down the hill from the 8th tee.  They are also going to run split rail fencing down each side of the stairs to keep people off of the grass.   If they use three tier fencing like in the rest of the park I fear that it will be too high and interfere with driving off of the tee.  I mentioned this to the project  manager, and he didn't seen ti think it would be a problem.  Time will tell, but I'm worried about it.

It would be the same fence for everyone.

I guess you're right.  My wife, who I play with most of the time is getting better and closing the gap.  She is 5'2".  I'm 6'2".  I'll take all of the advantage I can get :D

I agree, the new fence will make the hole a bit harder to get to. -With the hole being closed, its impossible to play from the reg cement tee. There are fences up right in front of the tee. The alt. tee for the hole is fine.

It's not that bad at all. Just throw right over the fence, you don't seriously throw low enough to hit the fence do you?

I'm not referring to the temporary fence that is up now during the construction, but the permanent split rail fence that is going to be constructed along the stairs.  BTW, where is the alternate tee for that hole?

The basket for #8 has been removed. The alt tee is on top of the hill in the far corner.

I have never seen a project get milked as much as that one. They have nickel and dimed around that hill for the past 2 years.

The eighth hole is now open.  New stairs down are nice.  There is no fence installed along the stairs as of yet.  Hope it stays that way.

The Basket is back in?

Yup I noticed this today. Although I wasn't there to play the course so I did not get to see the new stairs yet. Just really thankful the basket is back in before they take it out again in the winter.
