will the nov. be playin both short and long tees?
Ed Bansfield pdga # 41361

stpitner

yes, all divisions will play one set of each.  There isn't a long for every tee, and I've had no problems playing the long tees (as a novice player myself).

What kind of baskets do you have lined up for the temps?  I've got a chainstar that you can use, if need be.

Thanks to Scott and Frank for their hard work.
Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

Frank has been out there all week.  The course is looking great!  The grass around the teepads are cleaned up/edged, 12s basket/green has been improved, leaves blown, tall grass/weeds have been whacked and 10m circles have been painted.

Dana - please bring your chainstar.  I have one chainstar and 2 discatcher sports, but I'm sure people would rather play 2 chainstars and 1 discatcher sport (presuming this would only be the case sunday since you are playing sunday).

If people want to run tags, feel free, but I would need a club member to step up and take them in.  I can probably scrounge up a box and paper or something to help out... but it would be the club member's responsibility to write down scores, figure out who gets what, and redistribute.

Frank Grimes has given blood, sweat, tears, money, time, and a whole lot of caring for this great game of ours!  The landscaping and mother nature at Channy is a original beauty in itself.  Franks signature is everywhere. The tee pads at Eagle Ridge are pretty damn nice too! The game is fortunate to have him!

Frank really gives his all to this course. Everything looked great.

Had a nice turnout today. Great weather. Scott did a great job running this one. Let me cash out early to get home at a reasonable time. Thanks for that Scott.

Great shooting Nick Austin!!!!

The real thank you's belong to Jason Poole, Tom McManus, Frank Grimes, Jon Boster, Matt Cook, Cory Clements, and my wife Sara Pitner.  This event would not have come close to the quality of event it turned out to be if it were not for these folks stepping up and making this tournament respectable.  So I THANK YOU.

After taking a quick recovery nap I'm working on getting prepped for tomorrow first, then I'll work on entering Saturday's scores.  Nick Austin won advanced shooting -14 on the day.  Mike Anderson won Advanced Masters (-9 on the day).  Mike Conlee won Rec (Even on the day), Al Babbe took Advanced Grandmaster (-1 for the day), and Ashleigh Bushman won Rec Women (+33).

And to the gentleman with the extension cord that helped me cover the remaining distance that I was short, thank you for helping me out!

Scores are posted :)

Saturday: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=9455&year=2009&include_ratings=1
R1 Even Rating: 882; R2 Even Rating: 927

Sunday: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=9454&year=2009&include_ratings=1
R1 Even Rating: 918; R2 Even Rating: 955

It was a LOT windier on Sunday, although weather conditions were pretty good both days.  The rain thankfully stayed away :)

Thanks Jason, Tom, Frank, Dana, Ashley, Jon, Corey, Jake, and Sara for your help.  You guys stepped up and helped make this event happen.  Without you this event would have been a disaster.

as long as I can find the proper packaging to securely ship them out, the trophy pictures from Saturday's winners (Adv Masters, Rec, and Rec Women) should be sent out tomorrow.  All of the rest are already distributed.

The name listed with that player doesn't match the name associated with that PDGA number, it's a typo the correct PDGA number is 39906 and his rating is actually 807.

stpitner

this has been corrected now.  It did not change any of the ratings.  Sorry about that.  Couldn't read it from the registration card correctly.

Nice job Scott. Thanks for running events, having such a wide variety of merchandise, and for getting the scores posted so quickly. The course looked great this past weekend, Frank does a fantastic job on this course.  Thanks to Dana and Frank for helping to load out last night.  Dana was instrumental in getting things going on Sunday morning.  Ashley was really a great help with the score cards and the players cards.  Jason Poole came through in a huge way on Saturday, he gave up a chance to play to make sure that things ran smoothly.

It really would be great to have an event at the park during the summer.  A fall event is nice, but it would be nice to see the course with all the trees, bushes, and flowers in full bloom.

stpitner

I had to change one more typo - this made everyone's first round rating go up about 2 points across the board, and everyone's 2nd round went down about 1-2 points.  Sorry about that!

I do plan to have these results in by the 10/2 cutoff for the 10/21 ratings update.
