Got to have that shirt.

For those who haven't been to this event, the Springfield Disc Golf Club does a wonderful job.  Douglas Park is a fun course, but the real treat is playing at Lincoln.  It is a well manicured course in a very nice park setting.  There are very nice concrete tees with plenty of nice holes.

The players packs are nice, and there is always a nice meal after the second round. I feel that overall it has been consistently one of the best events in Illinois.

If you get there and play the random doubles on friday, you'll be able to chip in your thoughts on course design and maybe!! Your suggestionswill be so thought provoking to become implemented.

So go on down there and help get your feet wet w/ course Design suggestions.

Not sure whats gotten into me, maybe cause I had to miss Channahon this weekend, but I'm thinking about going. Tough nuts that Rec has to sign in at Douglas then go to Lincoln, but play in the big boy divisions or get the shaft is all good. The parks ARE really close. Too bad there's not trophy only Advanced, but I figure as long as I avoid Avanti's this time the night before I should shoot better than a few years ago.   ;D

Bright side to getting shafted means you finish earlier w/ douglas as your 2nd rd.

I hope you can attend the tourney. Brad, TD, wants everyone to have a great tourney experience. :)

Tom McManus

With two courses, there is going to be some traveling involved one way or the other.  I don't think anyone has gotten the shaft at this event.  It is a great time.  If you haven't traveled to an event, I suggest traveling to this one.  SDGC works on this one all year long and really tries to make it an event for everyone.

This event improves from year to year.  The organizers take suggestions to heart and do everything they can to make it a total disc golf experience.

Just want to make this clear, I was completely kidding about being "shafted" with the courses for Rec. This tournament is great and was one of the most fun I've had playing, the food at end didn't hurt either.  >:D

When I went a few years ago the value was awesome and courses were too. If I hadn't gotten sick in the AM it would've been completely great. I echo Tom's comments and recommend that anyone who can go does.

Thanks to the Springfield crew for another fantastic event.  Lincoln still one of my favorite courses in Illiinois.  Between the shirt in the player pack, the well-run tourney, and the free dinner after the 2nd round, the value of this tournament was beyond the reasonable entry fee for this event.  They paid out generously as well and provided CTPs and other prizes.  Really a top tier event in Illinois.  I'll be back again in 2010.
