Hot item right now. Very good shoe but price is debatable. Price will probably drop in a couple of months or so like the Bites did. But with it being winter, it may take a little longer for that.

I've seen them.  They are nice.  I'd buy a pair if I had some cash.

I doubt the price will go down.  110 is not bad for a pair of nice outdoor shoes that are waterproof.  Thats about what I pay for Merrils.

It sounds like they have a small run of these and if they sell out, they will put the money into a disc golf shoe actually designed for disc golf.  The ones they are selling now are just a modified pair of trail shoes, I think.

Vibram Disc Golf, Ledgestone Insurance, Paragon and Whirld Sports are all cool. Real cool.

That's what I have been hearing as well. Once Keen finds that there is a market out there for this type of shoe, then they will venture into actually designing a shoe engineered towards the sport.

I just bought a pair, and I love them! It's almost like walking around barefoot, only the bottom of your foot has some minimal protection. They look like monkey feet, but they are super comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, they are a bit expensive for what they are.

Tried them out at Channahon yesterday. Can't say whether they will be durable enough yet, but they sure are comfortable.

There was a Keen presence at The Memorial. There were mixed reviews by the players wearing them there. Some like them some did not. I thought the most interesting thing was that no matter what was wrong with them you could send them back to Keen and if you explain what happened to them or why you did not like them they will send you a replacement pair. So apparently they are taking this seriously and want feedback in order to make the shoe better. This was at The Memorial tournament, I am not sure if that is their policy across the board.

I personally do not the way Keens fit. Never have. I do not see anything about these shoes that  makes them any different then any other shoe I have seen. I do not see how these are specific to Disc Golf. They wear out the same and blow out the sides like any other shoe I have see Disc Golfer's wear. If you notice in the picture they do not show the inside/side of the shoe. That toe plate only covers the top and just to the side of the toe. Not far enough to protect the bad foot work of most players, including myself. Keen also uses their own waterproofing technology. For that price I would rather buy Gortex.

Gortex Skater shoes would be the best I think. Disc golf shoes need to have rubber soles, not foam, or some sort of wear pad on the side. The foam rubber tears up to easily on concrete. Not to mention how bad the foam rubber separates from the rubber sole plate.

Mike,
I just read about this either on PDGA or DGCourse review or some other site.  The current Milo shoe is simply a prototype.  If enough of them sell, Keen will invest in a shoe specifically designed for disc golf.  Right now, the milo is just one of their regular hiking/trail models with Keen-dry.  If they are interested in developing disc golf specific shoes, then I am fan!

In the same article/post I also remember reading that the guy who developed/invented gore-tex has been working for keen and also developed the Keen-dry material which allows for more breathability than goretex.  I love my goretex shoes (Asolo Fugitive GTX), but they always make my feet sweat.  I am certainly interested in trying Keen-dry if it really is the next step in waterproof shoe technology.

I bought the KSOs (Keep "stuff" out). I was concerned that the sole wouldn't protect my foot from hard objects underneath, but it seems to do a pretty good job of that. Haven't had any discomfort stepping on anything so far.

If I could have found them in a store, I would have bought the FLOW with the neoprene uppers which are waterproof, and a little bit warmer I imagine. But, come full summer, the KSOs will be the way to go anyway.

If you get a pair, let us know what you think of them.

hahah before i checked this thread i decided to spring for them and I got the KSO's. They seemed to be the most versatile and i want a fan of the mocasins and i knew id be out walking and doing all sorts of things in them. Ive got a vacation to tennessee coming up in about 3 weeks and i cant wait as im hoping to make this the only thing i have on my feet the entire time im out there.

i wanted a sock like shoe that would stay in place and not slip around on me. as well as not having a fully rigid sole to aid in grip, im really looking forward to getting them. my only worry is the sizing. Im hoping i got the right size and wont have to return them and wait for the re-ship

They are available in store at REI, and at Naperville Running Co. Though I would definitely suggest calling either place before making the trek. So, if the shoes you ordered don't fit, I would recommend getting a "fitting" in store before buying your (next) first pair. They have very strange sizes (mine are 42s) and fit is very important. Your toes should go all the way to the front of the shoe without being uncomfotable.

Good luck with them. I know I love mine.

i didnt feel like trekking up to REI and the naperville running co is about 20 mins away if that with traffic. according to their measurements i need the 46 size. like i said tho, i just hope no returns will be needed
