The guy to my left (OK, the guy 2nd from the left if you really think Ron Put and I look that much alike) is Larry 'Doc' Harman, who's a heart specialist now in Sarasota FL. We played the 4th and 6th rds together. (he made the cut, I didn't.)

15-20 yrs ago he lived in the Chicago area and played a lot around the north burbs, Adler, etc. He had some funny stories and I gave him some updates on some of the characters he used to hang out with.
thanks,
Damon

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

Not a clue, of course I couldn't tell you who was on the card that I was on this past weekend.

Bruce Brakel

I played an Illinois State Championship with Larry Doc sometime in the distant past, and a Worlds sometime in the more recent past.

Bruce played at least one round with Larry Doc at 2000 Worlds when I caddied for Bruce until I had to go to the hospital...but that's another story. Larry Doc was fun to walk a round with.

I played with him quite a bit in tourneys about a decade ago. I also drove his rental car back to Chicago for him after a two-day Peoria Open...NO WASHER FLUID when I hit a giant swarm of mayflies (little angels) that completely made my windshield yellow and oozy! Had to stick my head out the window to get to the next exit! Finally got his vehicle back to midway late at night, exhausted. Fun to play with though....still smoking cigars? Still pacing off his distance from the basket when putting?

Hope you had a great time Damon! We missed you around here; hoping you could take Senior down....I couldn't! See you in Aurora?

Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

well, there was that no-smoking rule this year, but he had a Tiparillo going while he and I were helping w/ the cards after the last round. no pacing off though.

I did have a great time (except for the round where the photo was taken; and I really like Ellison otherwise). I've got a music conflict for Sunday in Aurora though. I'm sending you (Jake) a PM.
