Bears traded Miami  2 3rd round picks for WR Brandon Marshall.  great move! now they trying to get LB Mario Williams from Houston!

Brandon Marshall to the Bears? He wasn't even really in the discussion and they couldn't have really gotten a better option considering how good he is as well as the relationship with Cutler. Pretty good start to FA for the Bears if it does go through and not something I'm happy for as a Lions fan.

Wow, I'm loving this new GM!  And hating Jerry Angelo even more for not pulling off a move like this 2 years ago.  I think Marshall has a chance to be a 1200 yd 10 TD guy in this offense.

Bears signed Jason Campbell to back up Cutler.  At least we have something better than Caleb Hanie now.

Marshall's stats the last 3 years.

86 rec    1014 yds  3 TD

Those numbers are pretty substantial, especially when you consider the offenses he played in those years.  He'll still just 28 yr old.  He'll make $9M/yr through 2014 before becoming a free agent.  Not a bad deal for the Bears.  V Jax is getting $13M/yr from the Bucs.

Obviously we'll have to see how these legal allegations play out.  The Bears were fully aware of it when they made the trade.  Who knows what the hell happened.  Given his past, I'm sure he's less than 100% innocent.  Worst case as far as the Bears are concerned, Marshall gets suspended by the NFL for a few games.

why not? he played pretty good for that terrible team. McFadden stays healthy, Palmer wont have to throw as much!

He had a ton of interceptions and McFadden has never stayed healthy so that's a lot of ifs! I don't really care about the west that much, just surprised I guess.

They gave up 2 first round picks for Carson Palmer, so they are pretty much married to him for the forseeable future.  It must be great to be a Raider fan.

Manning to Denver?  Craziness!  Who would have ever predicted this after Tebow's miracle against the Steelers last year?  I can't believe Tebow Magic is coming to such an abrupt end.  Denver becomes a monstrous favorite to take the AFC West next year.

I'm not sure why the acquisition of Manning has to be the end of tebow in Denver. You've got a hall of famer QB coming in to a team who has a great athlete of a young QB. Tebow needs some work to be a great QB. He's got a great career ahead of him. Manning has a few years left in his career. Keep them both. Imagine how great Tebow can be after working with Manning for three or four years. Sure worked out well for Aaron Rogers!

I don't think you can compare Rodgers to Tebow or Tebow to any other pro style quarterback in the NFL. Tebow should have never been a first round pick. Rodgers was considered the number 1 pick in the draft and luckily fell to the Packers.  I think Urlacher was right when he said Tebow was a good running back, or something to that effect.

I agree.  Whatever you think of Tebow he seems like a kid who is willing to put his ego in check and learn from a guy like Manning. For a couple of years he will sit next to him at meetings, watch film with him, see how he thinks and picks apart a defense. You cannot find a better apprenticeship program.  Also, Tebow is going to get a chance to play as the odds of Manning playing every down are slim.  Tebow's best chance of becoming a real quarterback are to stay where he is and soak in as much as he can.  I think he knows that. His goofy fans...I am sure they think he should start over Manning.

Tebow's goofy fans think he should be starting ahead of Jesus! If Tebow is a humble guy he would go to Elway and ask him to keep him on with Manning. Tom I'm not saying that working with Manning would turn Tebow into Rogers but maybe it would help him be as good as Rex Grossman. Imagine Tebow with the fair to midland quarterback skills of a Rex Grossman but paired with Tebow's impressive athletic skills. Then Tebow could have a great career!

Elway was not lying! Tebow traded to the Jets!

Sean Peyton suspended all season, Saints lost 2, 2nd rd picks, and Greg Williams is suspended indefinitly. Why weren't penalties this harsh on the Patriots for getting caught cheating??
