Interesting.  I've never played there.  Not that far from KC.  Looks like four 18 holers currently in the area.

Is Peoria looking at 2014?

I have not heard that. I hope they try to get Worlds. Illinois is deserving of a Worlds and Peoria is perfect for it. Travel is so easy and it's located right in the middle of some strong disc golf states.

I have a feeling they would have to use the 2 ball golf courses to make this happen.

Chuck Kennedy posted on DG Course Review that the Twin Cities are bidding for 2014.

Haha it just means that we can't get Worlds in Peoria if they don't respond to our request for an RFP.

Someone posted on DGCR that Am Worlds was in Emporia, KS. No word on Pro Worlds.

Looks like big player's packs and very, very little payout at Am Worlds:

I followed some live scoring while in the pool yesterday. Steven is killing it!

This is a great format. The player's pack is awesome (DD Ranger backpack, 8 discs, dri-fit polo, dri-fit tee, sunscreen, lip balm, and stickers!). To keep things interesting, the best score on each card, each round, wins a disc. Everybody has something to play for even if they aren't tearing it up like Steven Jacobs. There is great talent at World's, the field is tough, but every round you have 18 players picking up a prize even if they are on the last card.

Sounds like you are having a good time out there Ron.  Hopefully you got a round in with Ron James and Dave Delap.

From the PDGA website:

Steven Jacobs of Gurnee, IL built on his lead this afternoon shooting a solid -10 distancing himself from his closest competitor to a six throw lead. He played a flawless, bogey free round and set himself even closer to the victory podium. If he keeps playing with the quality and intensity that he has been, no one will be able to touch him for the rest of the week. He smoothly smashed huge shots, sank putts from inside and outside the circle, and never made a mistake. There are still three possible rounds left if he makes the finals and anything can happen in this division as well.

Adv.Sr Grandmaster Ron Huebner 16th out of 40. Nice shooting the last two rounds.
Hope you are a good time Think Positive, Throw Negative

Congratulations to Steven for winning Advanced.

As Tom pointed out, its playing with guys like Ron James and Dave Delap (yes I played with both guys) that make attending Worlds worth the effort if you don't expect to be hoisting a trophy at the end. I met Kim Holmes from Australia and learned what "spit the dummy" means. I played again with Jim Geurin whom I first met at KC Worlds in 2009 and got another set of scoring beads from him. I played a few rounds with Ron Put from Michigan. I played on cards with some new people: Jan, Don, Phil, Gary, and Walt.

I loved the courses at Emporia. Finally after years of playing in the woods, we moved to some open courses with elevation, tight OB, and big mature trees. I loved the temp course at the Country Club. I set a personal record of going OB 7 times in one day (3 at Peter Pan and 4 at the Country Club) topping my previous record of 6 at Round Barn last summer. The 18th hole at the Country Club, 185' to an island green was one of my favorite holes and few deuces.

The downside of the open courses was the heat and wind. The 100+ F heat on Tuesday for just a single mid-day round wiped me out and the upper 90's on Friday for two rounds saw me fading in the second round. The courses had lots of water stations but the temperature was stressful if you weren't acclimated. The guys from the Southern states seemed to handle it better.

All things considered, my best Worlds experience. I'm guessing Steven might be thinking the same thing.
