Playing #11 (Bevier) yesterday. Tee shot landed right next to the tennis court directly across from the net. Threw my 168 Aviar P&A, slight anhyzer release. Wind took over at that point and nailed the chains dead nuts center!
My friend just stared at it for a good 3-5 seconds saying "no way!"
A truly religious experience.
Went on to throw a 33 for that 12 holes.
Felt like sharing.

QuoteNice Shot :)
Thanks. I thought it was impressive, but still not the best putt in our little group.

One of the guys had a horrible drive on #1 at Parkside from the long tee. It went just past the short tee, I think he hit a tree right there.

Anyways, this was back when the baskets were up close for the ace race. He picks it up and says, "Hey, I'll just finish this one for 2" on a goof I'm sure. Whipped it down there, skipped and went straight into the basket.

Damn lucky fool.

I was hoping to spark some other long putt stories with this post, but I guess not huh?

I have not had many long upshots go in this year. I have had my fair share of Aces though. Last Thursday @ Round Lake during doubles, I hit the basket on #12 on our 2nd shot. I have yet to 2 that hole.

Had a long deuce the other night at parkside on #2.... It was a good 40' shot from a little behind the bush in the tall weeds.
Don't forget your towel!

My Dad loaned me a book a while back called, Golf is a Game of Confidence.  It was written by a psychologist who works with Pro Ball Golfers all the time.  One of the many things it taught me was that chipping and putting are where it's at.  "You can drive all day, but if you can't putt, it's not worth a damn," is something he always tells me when we talk.  At first I kind of laughed and thought, "If I can drive it within a couple feet of the hole, I won't need to putt."  I found out pretty quickly that it's not always so easy to get it close.

I haven't had to many great putts lately.  Guess I should re-read that book.
