QuoteI only missed about 2 birdie putts with the Mojo, other than that I was sinking everything!!!  Maybe I was getting some "Mojo" off the Proto Mojo....the Proto Mojo "Mojo".  Hehe

If the Doc is feeling the Mojo's "mojo," then I say NO WAY...you're already a dangerous putter  8)  (unless of course you can hook a brother up! Lately I need all the help I can get)

I think league use shouldn't be allowed, but since this Sunday's one disc ironman isn't a league event I say why not?
After all, a catch disc is a blunt object & probably could be used as well... Although I'd doubt anyone would win using one of them.
Don't forget your towel!

drdye

Well, I was just kidding anyway, figured you guys wouldnt allow it.  But since we are on the subject...

What about other proto discs, people throw proto discs all the time.   Granted they probably are proto discs that have been now approved.  Or once the Mojo is approved, then am I allowed to throw the proto during leagues or tourneys??  How does it work.

SERG

Personally, I don't care what you use or when you use it...as long as you don't hit me with it, throw it!  ;)

Assuming that the proto and the approved disc are the same, then yes it is legal. If it doesn't pass one of the tests and a change is made before the approved run, then your proto would not be legal. For the most part though, manufacturers do not put up discs for review if they are not going to pass the tests.

Generally I don't collect frisbees. I only buy them to throw them, so I never bid more than I think it's worth to throw. I know the Dr.'s discs are highly collectible and I never bid a collector's price. Maybe some day he'll dye a disc that no one else wants, and I'll get it. I'm not holding my breath though!  ;)

GOOD NEWS ABOUT THE MOJO!!!

I just heard from Holgate, who was just informed by Mark Ellis(aka the Lizard Lawer) who checked with Jeff Homburg(Tech standards dude) That MOJO is approved for any PDGA legal for any event except PDGA Worlds!!!  Not sure why not Worlds, I am looking into it.

So now can I play with my Mojo???

:(    :)    :D    B)

When do you think we'll be able to pick one up? Or, if they'll send you more would you be able to sell them?

He said, they hope to ship out all orders by Aug 1.  He is sending me one more, but it is for personal use, if I had more to sell I would.

And about the PDGA Worlds....I guess there is some clause for the Worlds about having at least 1500 available 30 days prior the event.  Not sure why just for Worlds, I guess to make it fair for everyone, or to level the playing field.  But I dont think personally that 1 disc could really make that much of a difference in an event like this, but it really doesnt matter what I think.  So thats why the MOJO is not allowed for the Worlds.

He is currently working on a driver with the same contour idea, he hasnt had anything that he really likes yet, not consistent enough from run to run.  But I assume as soon as he gets those up and running I will get a couple for testing too.

If anyone wants to try the MOJO, just meet up with me for a round, I'd be happy to let others give it a try.

Some guy in my group at the second round of the Illinois State Championship was sporting a dyed disc, looked firmiliar so I looked at the bottom rim and it read "Dr Dyed"

Oh yeah, the guy was from Vermont!  :o

drdye

8) Sweet!!!

I ran into someone on the Sunday of the Prarie Open also sporting a DR DYED disc.  I recognized it right away, and asked if I could look at it.  It turned out to be a disc from the very 1st batch I did for Sunking, so it somehow made to florida and back in a little over a year.

Always good to see my product is making its way around the country!!!
