Try the Buhler YMCA they might give you guests passes, ,or something else.

Josh, I think your flyer is technically incorrect for age restricted divisions. If you're going to limit juniors to just the 13 year bracket it is actually under 13 for the entire calendar year and not 13 and under.

For the Masters and Grand Masters it is 40 or 50 or older during the calendar year. So, someone who is currently 49 but will turn 50 in December, for example, would be eligible to play Grand Masters.

Also, will you be offering lower divisions for women? The form only has a spot for women in the Advanced and pro areas. Most amateur women do not have a high enough rating to compete with intermediate men. That's about the level that am women turn pro...except for my niece. That's the level where she started playing with the men!

Thanks for the heads up. I had noticed the errors for master's and grandmasters on the flyer but forgot to mention it when posting it here. For the juniors III division I think the flyer is correct isn't it? The chart I'm looking at on the PDGA website says 13 and under during the calendar year, so if that's wrong please let me know where you got that info. Lastly, I was not planning on offering a women's intermediate division or rec division but will have to think about it.

But for anyone reading this who's interested in playing grandmaster's or master's, the ages on the flyer are INCORRECT!!! You can register for the Master's (Grandmaster's) division if you will be turning 40 (50) in 2013. The Park District registrar has been notified of the error, so there shouldn't be a problem.

It's in the additional information in Table 3: PDGA Tour Player Divisions, Ratings & Points
Junior divisions are based on year of birth, NOT the date of the tournament. Example: If a 10 year old player will turn 11 at anytime during the calendar year, they are not eligible for Junior IV (<=10) during that entire calendar year.

Josh, will the expanded course be available to play prior to 7/21/13?

Josh G.

Tom,

Baskets and signs will be in the ground before the tournament, but I don't know how far in advance. I'll be sure to post updates here as the construction progresses... right now fairways are mowed and tripping/ankle sprain hazards have been taken care of. I'm expecting baskets and signs to be installed in the next two weeks, but I can't say for sure. Stay tuned for more updates!

DiscGolfSchodt

OK, Thanks. I have been checking it out every weekend, and noticed the mowed fairways. It looks like it will be a fun course.
I'm going to send in my pre-reg for the tournament tonight, and I'll see you there.

The baskets to holes 10-18 are now permanently up at the course... It's still a little rough, but it's certainly playable if you're itching to play. If you wait a week there should be significantly wider fairways and much better signage.

Sign up for the tournament so you can ensure yourself a Player's Pack, which will consist of a disc (all plastics are available) and some other goodies. Players who register on the day of the event WILL NOT be eligible for a Player's Pack.

Let me know if you have any questions about registration, we are a week and a half away!!!   O0

I want to note that Josh Graham, Casey Wagner and Scout Troop 335 have put a lot of work in to develop the course expansion. The new 9 holes will be fun for players as they will need to deal with some elevation and likely wind. The course is looking good. Hope to see a good turnout next Sunday. There will be a free clinic on Saturday for new players. If you know someone who be considering getting into competitive disc golf then this might be a good place to start.

Josh G.

Thank you for the love, Ron.

Casey and the Scouts installed the sleeves for the signage yesterday, so expect signs to go up Tuesday. I moved holes 11 and 14 to their alternate placements yesterday. We will be playing them in those placements for the event. For those practicing for the tourney, the right of the fence on hole 14 will be OB as will discs landing on/over any paved surface.

Josh G.

Also, Ron failed to mention his own contribution to helping the back nine come into existence, which was pretty substantial and much appreciated!   :)

Some big news for our event just got confirmed today... We have been given two DGA Mach Lite Portable baskets to give away at the tournament! We're still figuring out how to determine the lucky winners of the baskets.

Thank you to DGA and Midwest Disc Golf for making this awesome contribution!

The new tee signs are installed and the rough has been mowed back some more. The grass tees on the new 9 are "extra virgin" - only slightly used but appear new. The weather looks very good for Sunday, high of 80 F and only 5-10 mph winds. Don't forget the Disc Golf Clinic on Saturday afternoon (4:30 pm), a great chance for new players to get some tips.
