2015 Spring $3 Holla League

Sundays at 10am at Bevier Park in Waukegan.
March 15th - April 26th.

$1 to payout, $1 Ace Pool, $1 CTP

21 holes each week. No points or prizes, except for CTPs.
Clean and simple disc golf.

League starts one week from today!

If we get the warm weather that's been forecast, most of the snow should be gone and we can probably play Holes 6-11 across the street. I'll get there early and gauge the mud/snow and teepad situation.

$1 to payout, $1 Ace Pool, $1 CTP.  No club fees.

This league is casual, with no points or prizes, except for a weekly CTP.
I will, however, be keeping track of scores and adding them to the Bevier Stats excel file I started keeping last year.
This is so members can track their progress over time and compare their scores to those of other members'.

I will also be adding some twists, like adding OB zones to a normally easy hole. For example, Hole 1 might have two 5'-10' diameter OB circles somewhere in the fairway. A drop done will be about 30' away from the basket. This is just experimental to see if players like the added challenge.

Anyone can play.  We have a good mix of players who up. A round of 21 usually takes about 2 to 2.25 hours and we have a lot of fun.

It was great to have two new players, Tony C and Tony D, at leagues yesterday!
The weather was great.  8 players showed up to watch Rob O slam another sidearm ace on Hole 20 for $77.
Congrats to Rob for his 2nd ace in 9 months and also to Tony C who beat me by one for the win.

Two weeks of $3 Holla remain. No leagues on Mothers' Day.  Ryan and Travis will be running leagues for the next two weeks (April 26th and May 3rd).  I will be up at Standing Rocks Open for both Am and Pro weekends.  Thanks for the help as always, guys!

PDGA-Rated leagues start up on May 17th.  Spread the word.  You not not need to be a PDGA member to play, but you will be charged an extra dollar each week to pay for sanctioning fees.  Signing up for PDGA membership is worth it; having your rounds rated and added to your official rating not only allows you to compare yourself with other local players but those from around the world as well.
