okay heres the bash thread

it comes down to one thing for the sox
one main factor
we all know all sport teams  are run as a BUSINESS
the main thing lacking
from top to bottom including the fans
is HEART  

all the excuses in the world dont/will never replace that
feeling at the start on the season, that optimism that heh
the team (any team for that matter)  "insert your own joke here"
might actually compete (be worthy of the 150 bucks for a family of 4 to go to)

the sox run into every brick wall possible when doing things

GO CUBS.........man i had to listen to 2 of my co-workers back in mid summer talk all this smack to me about the Socks, and how the cubs sucked, when the socks were still in contention.  I laugh at them now casue look at the standings now

Hey, they Sox are gone and the Northsiders are making their run.  All I know is that when a Sox player hits a warning track fly ball the fans take a sip of their beer and say, "well, that's an out."  Cub fans start whooping it up in anticipation, of the..it might be...it could be... aw shucks.  It aint.

couple weeks ago

i hate latroy hawkins.  that bizzo is such a worthless sack.  dusty baker is even worse for constantly sending this piece of trash out there in the 9th.  we'll miss the playoffs now cuz of dusty baker's stubbornness.  i wish to god he would be fired or go into a coma.

If Scott Boras was your agent you might be unemployed longer as he is more than willing to hold out his players.  Of course, you would hit it big as Boras does get good money for his clients.  

I think the Sox should try to get Ordonez but not hold their breath.  It will be interesting to see what the market does with Mags.  He is a tremendous player and a good team player.  However, the knee is a question mark and I doubt that GM's will pay top $ for him this year.  If he has a big year, he may be ready to sign a monster deal next year.  I wonder if Boras would gamble on a one year deal or whether he will hold out for security.

As much I am a big fan of Ordonez, I wouldn't mind a sign and trade deal for a pitcher.  The Sox need pitching.

i dont see why k williams is messing around still

it wasnt like mags was a crowd draw

to bad he was insulted with the sox offering
70 million for 5 years last spring  

i think the critical issue was like an option year for year 6
or voidable yrs  - do they have those in baseball ?

hate to see such a great player go but all that $$$$$$$$
affects the bottom line
