upcoming gig

My group is playing a single set at Chicago's Green Mill on Sunday, Sept 26, at 2 pm. It's part of a series by the "Chicago Jazz Composers' Collective".

We're the 2nd band; the Green Mill is at 4802 N. Broadway, Chicago (corner of Lawrence & Broadway, by the lake). If you're under 21 you probably can't get in unless you're with someone 'of age' who'd vouch for you.   This has been a particular peeve of mine since I was a teenager since I don't think you need to drink to appreciate good music, but there you are...

(not that I *don't* drink and appreciate good music, but...)

It's not til 2 so there's plenty of time to get Leagues in    esp. since I think my band is 2nd. It ain't Miles or Coltrane (who is??) but I think you'd find it interesting...

This particular gig means I'm going to have to play an unsanctioned tournament at Channahon on the 25th instead of the 26th.

I'll be in Peoria, Damon but keep us posted. I would enjoy listening in person (I've listened to your CD on road trips )
