ok this info is somewhere

a den mother of a boy scout troop asked me to give
demonstration to troop (less than 20 kids) on disc golf
(if this is successful i would also do it for girl scout troop)

theres enough room behind the school to get nine holes in

i got three baskets at my disposal without asking any one else to use theirs

the boys are 7th graders

this would be the first time i would be doing anything like this
and she just asked me last night

i figure i could do it on columbus day 10/11/2004
since im not working and the kids have the day off
and the weather in chicago is still nice

is it cool to solicit for discs to be donated to the troop

what kind of problems could occur ?
liability issues ?

thanks for your imput

I tried to find donated discs for the demonstration that Brett and I did at Copeland School last year. Our demonstration was 4 demos with about 10-15 students at each. I found Innova to be most responsive with offering to sell me sub 150 weight discs for $2-3 each. Brett and I decided to just go with the used discs that he had available to do the demo. I had wanted to give each of the kids a disc, but I did not have a budget to work with.
