I just downloaded Firefox because I was sick of being compromised by the holes in internet explorers security.

Now whenever I visit these forums I have to log in, even when I use the "remember me on next visit" and "save my password" option.

Any suggestions anyone? please? :)

The internet explorer with gaping security holes that allows your computer to become compromised?

If not that, please enlighten me

Well, for some reason other forums remember my password when I return to them - except this one.

What version are you using? Special settings or anything?

What I do is make sure my Win updates are up to date at all times and that my anti-virus is up to date at all times.

If I have a point it would be...

If you don't have the "big-world-dominating-company" internet browser that people are programming hacks for, then you shouldn't complain that everything else isn't programmed for it either. The only reason that Firefox doesn't have security issues is because no one is programming hacks for it. I don't LIKE Microsoft. I think many of their business practices are unfair. I like competition. Competition is good for the consumer. But bottom line is that I am a realist. I realized a few years ago that I needed to embrace the MS technology and learn it if I wanted to do what I wanted to do to make a living.

...your mileage may vary...

Like I said - it works fine with other forums and does exactly what I need, with the small exception of remembering my login on these forums.

Small price to pay for security I suppose

Weird tho, that it remembers your login info for other sites but not this one.
Don't forget your towel!

mine says "version 1.0 preview release" which is just the one that you get off of mozilla's website.  I have never had any problems of any kind, or any sites that didnt load properly.  In fact, my web browsing has about doubled in speed since I switched, and the search window is a million times better than any IE toolbar add-in.
