hypertext markup language

it's not that hard to learn, but you just have to be around it.

i used to know it in and out. made probably about 5-6 sites with it, made a couple bucks making them for friends, but i sort of drifted away from that scene and got into graphic design

i think the only sites i have left are http://www.angelfire.com/yt2/irondb/flash.html - http://digitaldimensions.cjb.net - http://www.angelfire.com/yt2/ir0nd/ - all of which are old and crap. I havent updated them years, as you can see..

i would say a week to learn the basics, it's really not a difficult language

With the current breed of WYSIWYG editors, there's almost no need to learn html unless you're embedding it into some other type of dynamic code... ASP, PHP, etc.

What You See Is What You Get

People of your age and younger have grown up in a WYSIWYG world, so maybe you aren't familiar with the term. When I used my first typesetting machine it had a one line LCD display that only displayed text and code (actual key strokes). You didn't know for sure what it was going to look like until it was exposed and developed (pre-laser printer also).

You could do all the stuff that you can do today with typesetting on a computer, but you just didn't get to see it on the screen. It was always interesting to see your initial paragraph drop-cap half way down the page instead of at the beginning of your paragraph!

Drop the puck!  Good luck Spuds.  Did they tell you that the position calls for you to play goal during warmups?

mirth

I wrote a large chunk of my first website using a text editor & straight html code in '95-96... Still have to dive into the code & massage it from time to time but that's largely when I write php.

playing goal has got to be better than sitting around than
applying online getting no replies
sitting around wondering if the HR people will call
with either yes or no

something will come up soon
going to call and try to get some answers after 11 about 2 jobs i had
interviewed for

whats killing me is this weather
solid drizzle keeping me off the course
