I hate Jay Mariotti

Has anybody else had to listen to Jay Mariotti talk on ESPN?   He lives in Chicago and he makes his living tearing apart our teams.  I believe he hates all Chicago sports and skews the perceptions of fans when talking about what Chicago fans are thinking.  He is giddy when talking about any failure of a Chicago player.  Does anybody else share my hatred, cuz I would like some help in hunting him down with the intention of causing bodily harm.  Airspuds?

I read his articles now and then. I see his "around the horn" or whatever it is on ESPN, he is a really smart man. I dont think he hates Chicago sports, but you have to remember he is paid to be controversial and piss people off. The reason he is still writing is because he is doing a good job.

I am sad to see Sammy leave, but I was also sad to see the way he acted last season. His numbers will decline, but you can't replace a player like that

Dan, at least you had the patience to read him.  He and Mike North can't stay in my mind for more thean a few seconds.  I haven't read his column in years. To me its boring reading about him bitching about everything.  I really don't think he lives in as dark as a world in which he writes. He knows what makes the scratch and he plays a character in print.    Some find him contaversial.  Me, ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.  

As for him ripping Sammy, I would be interested to hear Spuds take this on.  As a fellow Sox fan, I always felt that Sammy was Mr. Mental mistake when he was with the Sox.  When he made his run from 98 through 03 he was better.  He made less mental mistakes and hit for higher average.  He hit lots of balls, many of them homers, to right field.  That being said, who is kidding who?  The skinny kid the Sox traded became a Marvel Comics Superduperhero and hit a boatload of homers. He must be a flax junky.  With the testing on the horizon, something tells me that the Smallsam will be the dh in Baltimore.  He was exciting for a few years even if his stats were wind aided as they say in track and field.  .257, 32 homers 88 RBI's too many errors a couple of Ooops in the field,  but a nice smile--thats the 05 line in Baltimore.  Still decent stats  if he decides to be a teammate.  No, not worth the dough he gets, but hey, he made the deal and good for him and his agent.

word up airspuds.  mariotti only knows that he loves to rip on anything associated to chicago.  he is so happy about it and that drives me nuts.  u would think that living here and knowing people that live in the area would make at least a small part of him root for at least ONE chicago team.  but no.

You know what?  Dusty wanted Steve Stone gone and so Stoney is gone.  Dusty wanted Sammy gone and now Sammy is gone.  If this doesn't work, then DUSTY had better be gone.  what a worthless sack Dusty is.  God I hate him.  I want to hurt his wife and his stupid little kid Darren and anybody else he cares about.  he deserves it for the pain he causes me.  throw mariotti, terry borrs, and dan bernstein on that list too.  and brett favre.  and wendell kim even though he is gone.  and jim edmonds.  and jose valentin.  thats it.

He takes personal glee when writing or commenting on any athlete's shortcomings or mistakes. I think he was more likely to have been picked third every time but thought he should be picked first. Those of us who were picked last all the time, or who were picked right before Blakely, know our lot in life and we don't have a problem with it.

Jay Mariotti is garbage.  It takes a lot of effort to be as annoying as he is.  That doesn't come naturally.  It's simply part of his schtick, but it didn't work for him too well on the radio.  I've never read  his column, but I heard him a handful of times on ESPN radio.  What a joke!  All the guy does is rip on anything that comes to mind, including Creed's music.  I simply changed the dial any time I heard his voice, even if it was just a commercial.  It's the same I do any time I hear Jim Rome.  I don't know how that guy has a national radio show.  He's the only sport's analyst that's a bigger joke than Mariotti.
