Played this course yesterday afternoon.  It is long-- over 6500 ft.  I played the reds, shorts and figure it was about 5200.  Still plenty of space.  The course has a decent variety of shots (left, right, up, down, open, tree lined)in a picturesque park near Lincoln's tomb.  The trees will provide more challenge in the summer.  There are no alternate pins.  However there are up to three different tees for each hole- blue, white red.  The concrete is a bit small and narrow.  The holes that only have one tee have a bigger and wider teepad.  The maddening thing is that the tees are not marked. I parked near #14 and played that as #1 and ended on #13.  On most holes you can see the basket.  However, I spent some time figuring out where the holes were.  It would have been nice to at least paint a number on the teepad so I could be sure which hole I was on.  There are no distance marking anywhere.  I got the 6500 figure from the PDGA website.  They had a box near the first tee with a  handwritten map.  The map has local pars ie. Par 4 for a routine 300 foot hole that even I can 3, but no distances.

Complaints aside, if you are in town, its worth bringing your bag if you are in the area.  I scored well on the reds.  The blues will provide a better challenge for heavier hitters.

all clean concrete in good shape.  There was a paint streak, either red, blue or white at the front letting you know which tee it was.  However they are short and narrow.  I do not have a very long run up but still had to be careful.  I have since seen the distances on the Springfield club website.  The reds were just over 5000.  Whites about 6100 and blues 6500.
