no more wendell kim, but the third base coach has had four potential runners get tagged at home plate in the past week.  disappointing to say the least....

anybody going to the milwaukee series this week?

woody is out for awhile.  no surprise there.  i'm still remaining optimistic as long as we can hang around til the all star break.   i have no clue how prior could be so bad the other day, hope he isn'r reverting to mr. inconsistent like last year.

dont' have plans to go to see the cubbies in milwaukee this week, but if the weather stays freezing like this then that might be a good idea for something to do.  i went up there for a few games last year and that stadium is sweet.

i have been to at least one of the milwaukee /cubs games in milwaukee for the past few years, it is just as friendly as wrigley and a whole lot cheaper and easier to get to.  

tickets are still available for all three games, if you folks feel like going we got a big group coming up in a bus from rockford on wed night - more than welcome to hang out and drink some beers with us all....

on a side note, that bulls game was tough to watch.

we had just finished our doubles last night in time to watch both heartackes at the bar near the course.   what an kick in the teeth for the bulls, coming back in the final minute with three 3 pointers only to lose by a weak jump shot.  and the cubs, all i can say is that i am glad i didnt go last night.  four straight, c'mon...

i just want to know how hinrich doesn't get help on arenas when every sane person in the building knew arenas was going to look to take that shot especially after he dribbled the clock down inside 4 seconds before he even made his move.

one thing that can be said for the bulls is they built a foundation on what seemed to be a very dismal season.  i just hope that they dont dismantle this team and they choose to build on it for next year.

They still might win the series but its looking dim.  I have been amazed how far they have gone in the past month.  Since Curry and Deng went down they really lack consistent inside scoring. They won a lot of games with an offense more like the Illini than a pro team.  You can only go so far relying on outside shooting.  I think young and dumb is unfair.  They played precociously; well beyond their years.  I think they have  just run into the wall given what they can put on the court now. The only disturbing thing is they seemed to have forgotten how to play defense in the last few games. Assuming Deng and Curry come back, this team has a great upside for next year.  If they were there the current series would have been a 4-1 Bulls win and they would at least make a run at Miami.  The reality is Miami will kill the winner of this series.

dumb may be a bad choice of words, they just seem far too jumpy for a basketball team looking to go deeper into the playoffs.

Fuck you Dan.........if your gonna be a fair weather fan then go to hell, and we dont need you as a cubs fan.  Ya they are doing bad, but every team goes through bad streaks.  Have some faith, and when Boroski returns we can turn it around.
