Zoey 101

My daughter is watching a show on Nickelodeon called Zoey 101 and they are playing disc golf. they are throwing at discatchers!

i also heard disc golf mentioned in a disney show called "brace face" they said something about "he plays disc golf, i've never even heard of disc golf"

Etymological aside:  Zoey is a common Greek name and it is the word for "life" in Greek.

Zoey is also Britney Spears younger sister. Seems to me, with Britney getting Married, getting a little chubby, and falling out of the limelight, the spears family is throwing another one in the line at our children. Luckily, my daughter is only 2, so, she missed the first Spears phenomenon. This one, I'm not so sure about.

i think i've seen britney's younger sister on TV before and she is smokin hot.  i would gladly teach her about disc golf and the fine art of the thumber

She may be "smokin" but the episode serves as a metaphor.  The kids at her school were playing disc golf in a competition against some other kids who were prisoners-- she's jailbait dude! In any case, I was stunned because the disc golf wasn't just a scene, but the major plot device for the episode.  Of course, the scenes of the kids throwing reminded me of Anthony Perkins trying to be Jimmy Pearsall in "Fear Strikes Out."  He looked really silly when he tried to throw.  Same here, none of the kids could throw, but somebody could throw on the set as they would show discs flying into the baskets.

Maddisen and I saw a commercial on one of the cartoony stations about kids who wanted to get on one of the sports teams at school in order to get out of gym-they opted for disc golf. They showed the kids driving and putting into disc catchers. I'm not sure about the name of the show. It is cool to see DG on TV!
