Telling him [insert your favorite expletive here] doesn't really help with the way he is getting into your head.  If the consensus is that he is wrong, you might get another member of the group to keep an eye on your feet.  Tell the orginal dope to shut the [insert another tasty expletive] right there and then so it does not continue.

I think calling a penalty that is clearly not a penalty is a courtesy violation. Warning the first time, one throw penalty thereafter. If it were to continue much beyond that it could be considered cheating and then a DQ from the TD could result.

DO NOT TALK WHILE A PLAYER IS THROWING.

I don't normally care if there is a constant, quiet chatter but that's me.  The worst is when it's completely quiet, you are all zoned in on your target, you are just about at the point of releasing the disc and then..."BLAH, BLAH BLAH" your eyes go fuzzy, your memory muscles get amnesia and you try to stop the throw but it's too late.

You wouldn't think I would have to mention this but at the last tournament it happened again.

My mental problem is whispering. If two guys are talking at a regular level I can just drown it out with all the other back ground noices. But if they are whispering, it really gets to me and I'll just wait on the tee pad until they are done.

Don't forget your towel!

Ha!  :D

I was talking about IOS #3.  It was the players first tournament so I did cut him a little slack.  I only gave him "the glare"  <_<

i think my plan for next time is to just draw a line of scrimmage before the shot so we don't have to argue over it.

Get yourself a big nail and one of those carpenters chalk-lines. You could snap a nice crisp blue line before every shot. And it's environmentally friendly!

Nope, wasn't you, but you did look at me after it happened.  I thought you looked at me because of that.

Thanks for making me relive the experience

probably.  There was a lot of conversation in that group, especially towards the end of the round.  I wonder if that is more of an issue at the Rec level because there are more inexperienced players.  The second round I played at crystal lake was much more serious and quiet but I'm sure thats because we were the leading card and all thought we had a chance to win it.  All 5 of us ended up shooting 57 or 58 anyways.  It was kinda weird when we started totalling scores and everyone was the same, because nobody had really been keeping track.

Ball golfers do the same things here in San Diego.  First time my friends and I played Mission Trails we had an older couple 65+ hit into us at least twice.  One time it seemed they purposefully aimed away from the fairway and at us, but I hope it was just that they were old.  I look forward to playing Edgewood, how far is it from Rockford where I am moving to next summer?

Bruce Brakel

From Edgebrook to Rockford it is one mile of surface streets and 78 miles of interstate toll road.  With the I-pass [electronic toll paying system] you can probably make that run in an hour and 15 minutes at non-peak driving hours.
