...what's the highest-rated round by a woman, I wonder? Des' (unofficial) 1011 must be pretty close.

I'm thinking it might actually go down to the final 9 this year. It's really pretty bunched up at the top, although it's early. I still think ya can't bet against Barry or Climo til somebody proves otherwise. It'd be pretty wild if Jay Reading makes the finals, which I wouldn't rule out. Almost makes me proud to say I'm from the QC... but not quite.  

Looks like they got lightning-ed out of the late round in the A pool today.

Funny thing is, I'm rooting for Barry!  But Feldberg, Rico and Kenny are all playing good this year, so 2-1 seemed like a bargain.

I'd like to see the 17 year old Matt Orum continue to do well. All the talk about Coda Hatfield, Justin Jernigan and Aleksey Bubis all year and this kid is taking it to them.

Good to see a close tourny so far (for Open). Masters is pretty close, too. I've been watching the Live Scoring on this one. Larry Leonard is making a run at things. Brad Hammock has alot of ground to make up to continue his onslaught of the Masters Division.

According to Live Scoring, Barry and Nate Doss are now tied with a 3 stroke lead over Feldberg and Climo.

Nate is now three to the good on Barry.  Still waiting to see where Climo and Orum are.  Go field!

this is a close, exciting race this year.  nate doss keeps throwing up awesome rounds and now has a 3 shot lead courtesy of an ace today!  6 guys still have a shot with just 1 round+finals to go.   rico, climo, feldberg all still right there if they can have a hot round tomorrow.

Illinois boy John Knudson is having a great tournament and is now in 26th after his 3rd straight 1000 rated round.  reprezent!

Woo-hoo.  I've now got Nate and Kenny defending my brass.  Nate I was a little worried about.  Barry can probably do Jedi mind tricks on Nate.  But Kenny's species is immune to that!  Go Nate!  Go Alien!

i don't think even jedi mind tricks are good for 5 strokes in 9 holes, but anything can happen in golf.  doss has had quite a week and hasn't had a bad round yet.  i hope he finishes it off cuz i hate to see people lose in a final 9 showcase.
