Mark Ellis called me on Friday and told me I had to come to the Flying Saucer am-scam pro-jam ripoff tournament [equal opportunity scam lords] for an obelisk awarding ceremony.  The right arm is now feeling pretty good if I don't hyper-extend it too often.  So I decided that if I sold enough discs on Saturday to cover my entry fee I'd play pro master if Mark was playing.

Saturday afternoon we price tagged discs at the course and sold discs to a few players.  We sold exactly enough discs for the profit to cover my entry fee and ice cream for the whole family so I took that as a sign from above to at least get ice cream for the whole family after playing 18.

Diana and I beat the girls in best shot with me taking every throw lefthanded.  I had three lefty birdies.  Diana really covered me on putting.

So Sunday morning Mark said nice things about Jamie Mosier and gave him his obelisk and then said nice things about me and gave me my obelisk and told me I had to say a few words.  So I said nice things about the other two PDGA divisional season points winners present, Kira and Kelsey, who did not get obelisks and then we played golf.

At the end of the morning round I was tied with Mark for second two throws back.  I had had seven birdies and seven bogies but some of those bogies were doubles.  One of the birdies was a lefty birdie but so was one of the double bogies.  I was getting good distance but my accuracy was a little off.  The good thing was the guy in first I usually beat on the rare occasions we play the same tournament.

In the afternoon I parred several really tough early holes while Mark and Damon took 4s, 5s, and 6s.  Suddenly I was in first by three.  Mark took a rare moment to add up the scores and then he went to work.

Mark won and I came in second, two back I think, but I'll go with whatever the stats say.  I had no intention of taking the cash.  I just wanted to golf with pleasant, intelligent company.  Afterwards Mark spent all the money he won from me on QKs.  He was really impressed with how far I was throwing them.

Good luck, maybe if you sell enough you could sponsor Brett in the pro division....  Heard a rumor that he was going to start bowling.   :D
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.
