Which courses currently have baskets and are playable?
Valley View?
Wales Community Park?
Dretzka?
Brown Deer?

Wales might be in the ground, the others not till May... or ground is not saturated.

Tendick is in and quite fun with the new layout and teepads.
Let us hope that the whores of evil no longer loiter on the doorsteps of your path beckoning you into the brothel of despair, and that here and after may present them with the most rigid manistfestation of a firm and manly will.

Dineen is in the ground.

To my understanding all the Madison courses are also out of the ground until May.

... so how much snow did Parkside get? I'd like to play somewhere this weekend but I'm really tired of winter golf.
thanks,

Could I possibly play any worse if I didn't practice putting??

stpitner

well if Milwaukee received 13-17" of snow and then northern Illinois areas received something like 5-8", I'm guessing Parkside is around the 8-11" of snowfall?  Who knows how much melted.

I'd recommend heading down towards towns at I-88 or south.  In Oak Brook there are some patches of snow, but it's mostly soft grass and some mud.

I'm on the South side of Kenosha and I had well over a foot of snow, so I'd assume Parkside was pretty well buried. It's all melting pretty quickly though, so Parkside will probably be a muddy swamp this weekend.

Terry, are those courses in Racine still happening or did the park district drop them?

Things are moving along with them.  I had a great meeting with them just before I headed off to AZ.  I can't share too many details at this exact moment but yes, there has been progress and things are looking good.  One step at a time with them but so far it's a single step in the right direction.  Of course I'll keep everyone posted and more progress is made.

Thanks!

I played Brown Deer today and she was beautiful. NO litter, 10mph breeze, oooh baby. Just like a smooth Champipple.   O0
Mirth, can you please add BD to the list (first post)?
A challenging & fun course.
THANKS!

THANKS!
Also, I played all the holes at Parkside yesterday.
WOW!  Holy Blitzkreig Batman!
The holes behind the copshop are playing far better than late last year, but the new holes are unbelieveable!
They are very challenging and very fair.
The rough, though, is deep and unforgiving.
Daniel lost 4 discs and found 3 (no names).
New elevated teepad is supercool.
Good signage and directions!
Some scenic holes provide a framed basket in the distance - beautiful!
In two years, after some of the manicuring takes hold and the schule is cut back a bit, Parkside will surely be one of the top 5 courses in Wisconsin.

Kudos and THANKS to all the folks who have been working on Parkside!!!

I went to Parkside Sunday after dubs, WOW! I totally dig the new holes. Best round ive shot from the pro
tees there. Parking was a little confusing but I worked it out.

On a side note, is anyone going up to the Justin Trails Open? My wife and I went up there a few years back, its where we got
engaged. The course was amazing and now they have the big brother course in too...cant wait to play that tournament.

Anywho, they have camping for 10 bucks a night onsite and there will be random draw dubs sat night...

We are heading up Thursday night and staying all weekend. If anyone wants to caravan out there we will leave the
city around 5:30 ish...

If you guys have not been up there, I really encourage you to check it out, its really awesome and Don and Donna are
very nice people too...
