I'd like to take the PDGA Officials test. How do I go about doing this? I understand that through the club I can take it for free, right? Would I receive an updated rules book or would I have to purchase one to review before I took the test?

I PASSED!

Congratulations!

You have successfully passed the PDGA's Official's Exam allowing you to become a PDGA Official!

The database will be updated today, and your name should appear on our website within the next few days.  Your Official's card will arrive in the mail within 4-5 weeks.

Please keep in mind that you must maintain current PDGA membership status to maintain your Official's status.  Should you allow your membership to lapse, you must retake the exam.

Becoming a PDGA Official allows you to officiate at PDGA sanctioned events.  Please check out the following resources for information on running a PDGA event:

http://www.pdga.com/documents/td/2006tourinfo.php

Please feel free to contact myself or Tour Manager Dave Gentry if you have any questions regarding the sanctioning process.

Best of luck with your "Official" duties.

Please keep in mind that you must maintain current PDGA membership status to maintain your Official's status.  Should you allow your membership to lapse, you must retake the exam.

Would renewing through the club neccesitate me re-taking the exam? I noticed in the Store that it says renewals through the club won't be submitted until after 1/1/07...

mirth

i set up the product on the store before i was told the pdga would accept renewals in quantities less than 10. don't worry about your certified official status.

You don't have to renew before 1/1/07 to maintain your PDGA membership status. They give you until Feb 15 or something like that.
