I understand this is slightly off topic compared to the last post dates, but... I'm ranting

West Park is basically my home park, as i spend a majority of my time between Joliet and the Oaks of Mokena... what a fun course, i know almost everybody has been there, but if you haven't you should check it out..  ;D

This is also a Lost & Found.... mainly a lost... a 171 glow teebird that i watched go into a tree at hole 2.  I held it too long and seen it go into the big oak tree, and not fall... then it was gone.   :-\

I don't know, this forum sounds like a bunch of serious players which I enjoy and appreciate... (I'm one of you without the skill).  I am tired of ignorant people hanging out in the woods smoking pot and trashing these courses... that's bullshit.  My second bitch is about dogs.  Why on earth are people letting their dogs run around these courses and chase discs/crap ... that is the biggest problem with this course.

Loosing a TeeBird often sends me into a rant, also.  >:D

Loosing a glowbie...now that just makes me cry.  :'(

I just want all the Hole 16 haters out there I got my first Ace on that hole at West Park. I was with a witness and he said he wouldn't have believed me if he wasn't there to see it. I must say I have never been more excited than at the time. I threw a "thumber" over hand throw and it when way up came down through the trees and right in the basket. A complete luck shot but either way an Ace and my first one.

I always look at #16 and think... the basket is right in front of you if you could just throw a straight hard shot right down through the trees it could be a nice ace.  I love hole 2 AND 16.... everyone has no love for 16

Congrats on the ACE....

I love the elevation changes at this course. It's so much fun to do a speed round here as the hills provide quite the workout. All in all, the rough isn't too bad and losing discs is only a concern on a few holes (cough, # 16). I've definitely learned not to play this course after rain, as the teeboxes offer no footing when wet. Also, as has been pointed out already, the little creek that runs through the course turns into quite the hazard when flashed full.

Does anyone know what is going to become of hole # 16 once the construction is done? The last few times I've played this course, the chains have been out with a note on the hole map. This note says that the hole will be redone after the construction. Is the basket going to be put right back where it was, or will there be a new location?
